Band/DJ and Rehearsal Dinner Advice

I would prefer to have a DJ at our wedding but my fiance and Dad both want a band, so I am looking into both options. If we do go the band route, I definitely want a group that can play a wide variety of current music (e.g., Black Eyed Peas). Does anyone have recommendations from the MIlwaukee/Madison/Chicago area?

Also, our rehearsal dinner venue fell through so my future in-laws are looking into other places and wanted our input. I've never been to the Iron Horse but it seems like it would fit the vibe we are going for and the number of people we are going to have. Does anyone have any experience with Iron Horse as a rehearsal dinner restaurant?

    Some bands who play oldies/classic will make a pop music playlist that they will play durring their breaks.  Maybe that is an option you can work with too.  (Sorry I can't help with suggestions the bands I have seen do this were all out of state)

    If you check out ACA Entertainment website, you can then take note of the bands on there and check out their own websites.  Most of the bands will have really good descriptions of their music and some will have clips to listen to.  You can also check out Bananas Entertainment site too.  Otherwise, all bands will use an iPod during their breaks and typically you choose the music you want played during those band breaks.

    I work at the Iron Horse so if you have any questions, just let me know.  Or you can contact us directly through the website form.  I'm bias of course!  :)  But most people know right away if we fit their vibe or not.  We're definitley not the "traditional" wedding festivities venue!

    My photographer has some pictures on his website of a wedding at the Iron Horse...it looks super unique!  if you want to see it, I cant remember the couples name but its www.joehang.com
