Enough already FPIL.....

I love my FPIL's... they're awesome but they need to STOP inviting people 2 weeks before the wedding.  They just invited more people and my catering was due today.  I just put my foot down and said enough,  They said they were paying for these extra mouths which is awesome and kind of them but I can't keep calling my vendors and saying 'yea.. do you mind adding X amount of people to the order?"
They knew today was the deadline so I guess they figured they have till 5 pm to add people.. lol.

    I know what you mean.  FI kept going back and forth about two couples we ended up not inviting...until yesterday, when he decides we should have invited them.  FMIL also keeps telling people at church, when they ask how wedding things are going, that they should come, thinking they'll just come to the ceremony, not the reception.  I feel like a jerk for not wanting them at the reception, but I've already given the caterer the number and I've already planned for that many people in all the things I have to make.  This has gotten beyond ridiculous.  FI and I wanted a small wedding and our families kept adding people.  AT SOME POINT IT HAS TO STOP!  And to me, that point was the end of June.

    Madisonpenny, my mom added two more people last week. I totally hear you. It's like, wtf do you not understand about deadlines? They need the head count for so many reasons that aren't easy "fixes" if the count ends up climbing daily. UGH!

    My thing is dont this last minute invitees know that they are last minute, and feel wierd being invited to a wedding as an after thought???

    Ugh!  So annoying!  We found out on Wednesday that FI's annoying cousin (who RSVP'd for 5 even though we only invited 4 on the invite and we still dont know who the mystery 5th person is) isnt coming to the wedding anymore.  He wasnt even going to contact us to let us know his 5 people were no longer attending!  We found out by accident on the 4th from FI's mom!  People seriously just dont think!
