Birchbox/Glambag

Has anyone used either of these? thoughts? Any others like this out there that I'm unaware of?

I want to sign up for one. I'm trying to decide between the two. I'd love a little monthly surprise of beauty sample products!

Also, I'm thinking about getting one for my MOH. It would be in addition to the BM gifts. This would be something I'd only get for her though. She loves make-up/beauty products.

Thanks!

  • I've heard of Birchbox, but haven't heard reviews, so I'll be watching this thread! It sounds like a great idea for a gift.

It's $10/month or $110/year and you get a box with 4-5 sample products in it. I've seen some reviews saying that some months they send out regular size products. I've also heard that some months are better than others- but I'd expect that. And, birchbox sends you stuff based on your beauty profile. You can cancel anytime so I don't think it would be a big deal to do a few months and cancel if you're not happy.

I just wondered if anyone has any personal experience with it.

  • This seems pretty cool!!! I love goodies!

  • I got a 6 month subscription for my sister (MOH) for hosting my bridal shower and she loves it.  I think it's a great idea for bridesmaids if they love beauty products.

I wanted to give another subscription to my friend for her birthday next week but I'm on the waiting list. I'll have to think of something else to get her if I don't get chosen soon.
  • I tried birchbox for a couple months. I really liked some stuff but some of it was so weird I would never use it and I felt like I was paying $10/month for 1 or 2 of the samples. One month there were these weird lipstick stickers with glitter and weird colors. I was like, "who in their right mind would actually use these?". That happened and then we were really trying to save $$ for the wedding so I quit it. I would be tempted to try it again, I wasn't unhappy with it I just wasn't over-the-moon in love with it either.

  • A girl I used to work with got the birchbox & loved it! She loved make-up & all those goodies!
  • I have been getting a Birch Box for almost a year now and I love it. Yes as some have stated some of the boxes are fabulous and some are a little lack luster but there has been at least one thing in each box that I used and every box I have gotten has had a full sized product. It is a fun treat each month. I'm planning on getting my brides maids 3 month subscriptions.
