WARNING: Chris Brock & Premier Wedding Photography

Hey!  I just wanted to post a vendor review on here for the Atlanta knotties.  Please feel free to let me know ifyou have any questions at all.  I'm only doing this to save you guys the hassle of dealing with this guy.

I would like to warn other brides regarding Chris Brock and Premier Wedding Photography.  He sucks you in with his low prices but I’m warning you that you get what you pay for.  He is an extremely pushy salesman and is extremely rude to his customers.  I signed a contract with him for photography and videography.  It all began when I got my engagement photos back (I was supposed to get an engagement video at the same time but he didn’t bring his camera then argued with me that it was my responsibility to remind him to bring his camera).  My photos were extremely blurry and poor quality.  When I asked him to photoshop a piece of trash out of the picture you could visibly see the lines in the picture where he had moved things around…then proceeded to call me bridezilla for wanting the pictures to be fixed (red eyes, blurry faces, trash in pictures etc).  After a month or so of reading additional bad views and having a knot in my stomache over this guy I told him my concerns and he continued to brush me off and be a pushy salesman.  I finally asked to get out of my contract.  We decided that I could upgrade (pay more money) for him to do videography only…whatever, I didn’t want to lose my $1400 deposit.  After the wedding, and more rudeness and confusion from him, I got my wedding video-AWFUL!  45 mins of nothing but me getting ready, music playing over my husband as he asked him to speak into the camera to me, no shot of me walking down the aisle, over a minute of filming the GROUND as my fathers gave me away and then he cuts the video off IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RECEPTION.  This guy is a complete scam!!  Please save yourself the headache, disappointment and money by just going with someone else.  It is not worth it.  He is a bully (I had to have my husband deal with him most of the time b/c he was such a freaking jerk to me).  This is the ONLY review I have ever posted about a vendor…save yourself the trouble.  Please let me know if you have any questions sannmarie@bellsouth.net

Courts are very much on the bride and groom's side in stuff like this.  You can take him to small claims court and get your money back since he did not deliver the service you paid for.  I'm not saying you should sue for an absurd amount - but you should at least be able to get your money back.  (Though I did hear about one bride and groom suing for emotional distress because they can't get married again, and now they have no video of their day.  They won a little bit extra, I think)

You should also report him to the BBB, and post this review on Angie's List.

Thanks for the review.  I've been looking at photographers, and I will be sure not to add him to my list!
My reaction to most everything on the internet today:

Thank you for the advice.  I'm not really sure what to do at this point.  The guy is such a complete jerk I don't care to even speak with him anymore...I'm just glad its all over with and I can be DONE with him!  I will definitely report him to the BBB and post as many reviews on him as I can!  I just wanted to be sure to give other bride's the heads up!

Hey, I am sorry to hear about your review. I booked with Chris already and plan to stay with him. I went to his website and saw your wedding video trailer. I thought it looked really good! http://premierweddinggroup.phanfare.com/4685622. I know he does good work, and loves what he does. Why didn't you call or email him and tell him there was something wrong with the video? He has been very helpful with me, I know he wants to make his customers happy. And I am sure he would change anything you didn't like. Again I am sorry you had such a terrible experience.

Of course the video TRAILER that he posts on his website is good...he wouldn't put crap on his own website.  On my video you can't hear my husband talking into the camera when Chris asks him to give me a message, he has a song playing twice with only 1 song in between it, my husbands head was cut off during the ceremony, he stopped in the middle of the reception (I had 8 contracted hours), only onle camera used 90% of the time when I was contracted for 2, I was not shown walking down the aisle, he films the GROUND when my dad's are giving me away and there is one shot of my mother and thats when she's coming down the aisle.  Chris and I have gone back and forth since October about pictures and.or videorgraphy and he has never been helpful.

I respect your opinion and thank you for responding to my post but this is the ONLY part of my wedding that has been an absolute nightmare!

Thanks for the warning. I have had a wonderful experience with Chris since I have met him. I also looked at his testimonal page and saw a comment that you left praising him for your e-pics and engagment video. I just don't understand why you would say that and then write on here that you hated the e-pics?

Thats weird.  I can't even get on his website.  The review was left within days of having the pictures taken (at his request).  I thought the pictures were decent but didn't think they were "professional" looking.  At the time, I still had months to work with and thought that we could work out our creative differences...obviously not.  I will be sure to request that he takes down my review from October.  I understand your comment but am not sure what I would have to gain by giving a bad review on here if I didn't truly feel that I was done wrongly.

For every bad review he also has good reviews.  He has done a wonderful job for certain people...I'm just not one of them and I feel that other brides should know that there is a chance he could do the same thing to them.  He could do a great job or a crap job...some brides may not want to take that chance.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I got married over a year ago, and I have seen numerous complaints about this vendor during the time I was planning my wedding and after. I am honestly a bit surprised he is still in business with all the complaints. I really hope other brides don't get scr*wed by him.

And I couldn't have commented on my engagement VIDEO b/c I never got one...I got an engagement montage which he had to redo for me when I told him I could have done that myself on powerpoint.

I understand, its just hard to believe he would do something like that. I guess you can't please everyone, which is unfortunate. =(

I was too late in reading these posts to save myself. We were completely ripped off by this guy! DO NOT hire Chris Brock for your wedding. He is pushy in his sales and was completely rude to my family and guests during the wedding and reception. We were promised 1000 photos and 90% of them were unusable. Any of my friends or relatives could have done a better job. These were taken by his "assistant" who I found out later was hired by him the week before off of Craigslist! The footage of my video was basically the same footage (over and over again)  of me getting ready before the ceremony. It looks as though someone was just walking around with a camera filming randomly. It was not artistic, creative, or even interesting. When I called him to complain, he became irate, said I was being "picky", then hung up on me. He has ignored all of my e-mails and phone calls since. I am so angry as I write this post, and am trying to refrain from writing what I really think of this guy. Save your selves big trouble and hire anyone else !

Christopher Brock shot my wedding along with my sisters wedding.  We were 200% satisfied.  We LOVED him and our photos!   We just picked up my sisters books last week and yet again we were amazed with the quality :)

    Chris we love you!

We had a wonderful experience with Christopher at our wedding!~  He was fantastic from beginning to end.  Within a few hours of our wedding ending he had over a dozen breath taking photos posted on facebook!!

We received our photograph disks within a few weeks of the wedding and now are waiting on the album.  So far so good!

    Super happy bride :D

I just wantd to give everyone an update. After months and months of trying to get some resolution with Chris Brock Photo and Video, we had to take him to small claims court, which, of course, he did not show up to. He did not deliever what he promised in quality, and we never recieved our wedding album. This was the basis of our claim. The judge said that it would be difficult to collect from him although a judgement has been ruled against him. So sorry to say, our wedding photos and video are ruined and we will never see our wedding album eventhough we have paid for it. Just stay away from this guy and don't be fooled by his low prices. Good Luck to all.

  • Is he sending you the album or will you have to pick it up?
