Groom's gift

I know that usually the bride gets her groom a gift before the wedding.  What type of gift is this?  I am sure it is something personal, but some ideas could be helpful.  And do you give this to him at the rehearsal dinner? Before the wedding (through another groomsman), or after the wedding.

Lots of the girls here have done B-pics which is a really cute idea, but I don't think you need to buy each other anything. A watch is also nice, cufflinks, etc. Something he could use day of and/or after the wedding. Is he really into a particular thing like cars, sports, comic books? You could always get him a collectors item.

I got him a watch to "get him to the church on time" and socks "incase you get cold feet"

We exchanged gifts at our rehearsal dinner after we handed out the bridal party and parent gifts.

MY FI wants a super expensive Brightling watch.... he likes watches though. I'm sure you know him well enough to know what he would be happy with, but I like the idea of something that can be engraved.

I'm going to try to get him tickets to a Giants game for the fall. If that falls through I'm totally stealing that idea for a watch to get him to the church on time and socks in case he gets cold feet. Too cute!

LOL  I think you meant Breitling.  Nice watch!  I had to settle for a measly Omega Seamaster!  Although a Breitling is a serious timepiece, if he is a watch enthusiast, there are dozens of bargain mechanical watches that he would probably like.
