Hi Boston Area Brides!

I'm looking for some input on photography.  Our number one choice in photographer who had done our friends' wedding last year is unfortunately booked.  He's offered us referrals to the following three folks/places.  I'm wondering if any of you have experience with any of them:

I've heard from two folks already and they both sound wonderful, but I'd love some first hand knowledge!

    I have not worked with any of these photogs specifically, but Lisa Rigby and Channing Johnson were 2 of my favorites when I was searching.  Both were out of my price range, but I would have hired either in a second if I could have afforded them.  Lisa Rigby I've met before and an aquaintance used her and loved her.

    If you are still looking at alternatives, I'll highly recommend our photographer:  Leah Haydock.  Her style is very similar to those you've selected and she was a bit less expensive.  She was *amazing*!!  Our photos came out beautiful and she was an absolute pleasure to work with.  We've gotten so many compliments on our photos from all our friends, family, pretty much anyone whose seen them.  I have a full review in my bio.  Check out her blog here:

    My friend also used Leah Haydock for her wedding and loved her and the pictures. I'm using Melissa DeSchamp and loved our engagement pictures. She did a friend's wedding and those pictures turned out awesome!

    We used Berryphotos and couldn't have been happier.  We got a ton in our package for a fraction the cost of most others we checked out.  Their website is www.berryphotos.com.

    From the ones that you listed, Lisa Rigby is the one I've seen work at a wedding. She did my friend's wedding on the cape two years ago.  I LOVED her work! She wasn't available for my date, otherwise, I'd be using her. LOVED the pics she took!

    @noodle:  Interestingly, while I loved Leah's work, She's coming in at a MUCH higher price point than either Lisa or Channing.  She starts at $5K, which is just out of budget for us.

    As of right now, Lisa's first in line, assuming the financials work out.  I'll keep you all posted on what we decide in the next few weeks.

    PS-To add my own recommendation:  Our first choice was Zev Fisher, also based in Boston.  Absolutely GORGEOUS work.   He's unfortunately booked for our date, but shot the wedding of two of our best friends last year and we were blown away.  Incredibly easy to work with and very accomodating.  Can't say enough good things about him.

    Also to add a recommendation--Christopher Dumas Photography is amazing.  He did my sister';s wedding and was wonderful to work with and so talented.

    www.christopherdumas.com Coverage starts at $3500.  Sadly, he is not available on my day...
