Now I'm stressing.

My MOH ordered the dressed she picked out when she was supposed to back in early June. We thought she was good to go until a few weeks later she found out she was pregnant. No problem, said David's Bridal. She exchanged the ordered dress for one that would camoflauge a growing belly (though still quite fitted under the bust) and didn't have to pay anything additional.

Skip to today when I find out her dress won't be in until October 19th--for my October 20th wedding!!!! That leaves her no time to make sure it fits or have it altered if it doesn't. i feel so bad for her! It's hard enough being pregnant, but being pregnant and having to be in a wedding with a dress that might be missing-in-action is terrible. I mean, worse case scenario, she wears a dress of her own rather than the one she ordered. But that means she's biting the cost and that sucks. I'd love to compensate her, but we have no funds left to spare and just had to make some cuts in places.

What do I do?!?!

Call the store and triple check, quadruple check even. Sometimes DB's is early with their dresses, especially if its something they already had in stock at the warehouse. Don't talk to a regular sales clerk, just get the manager right away. Go in person if you have to.

When did she exchange dresses?

She exchanged her dress end of June/ early July. i don't remember the exact date. I know they said at the store that the 19th is the LATEST it will arrive, but the possibility is really unnerving. I have a feeling I'm going to be calling every week between now and the day it shows up

Most likely the dress will come in earlier than that. My wedding dress was ordered in late January they said it would come in mid April and it came in mid February. My BMs ordered their dresses in May they said it would come in August they came in early July. A lot of the people who ordered from DB have had similar experiences. The far out date is more so they can cover the butts.

When I ordered my wedding dress in February, they said it would be in in May. It came in within a week.

DO NOT STRESS! Db always gives crazy overage expected deliveries. Most everyone in my WP got their dresses within 4 wks! Some as little as a week and a half!!! My MoH took the longest and was still in 3 wks earlier than expected!

Deep breath!! Like PP's said, DB gives crazy delivery frames. I was in a wedding a month ago. Ordered the dress 3 months in advance, was supposed to take 2 months, it took 2 weeks. Don't freak out quite yet!!
