La Cuisine or My Chef Catering? Tell me your experience!

Hi ladies!  I'm already married, but a dear friend of mine is planning a fall wedding and is considering these two caterers and is a bit torn.  Can any married knotties please give me feedback on these caterers?

TIA!

Re: La Cuisine or My Chef Catering? Tell me your experience!

  • I'm not married (yet), but in my catering search my fiance and I talked to My Chef.  We didn't really have a good experience through the process of getting a proposal.  It took a really long time, and when it came back, there were issues where it was clear that they hadn't really listened to what we wanted (and, it was crazy expensive for what our budget was).  I have no idea what the final product would be in terms of the food and service at a reception, but that experience turned us off from using them.

  •  is your friend getting married at wilder mansion?

we talked to my chef and also had a bad experience. the contact person took a long time to get us the proposal, when i called her she acted like i was bothering her and wouldnt answer my questions. when we did get the proposal it was way more than we wanted to spend. since then i received an email from their new contact person who seemed much nicer. but im pretty sure we wont be using them.

havent contacted la cuisine. probably will reach out to them in upcoming months and see how it goes.

  • I'm getting married May 2013. I just had a tasting with My Chef and it was fantastic!  Amanda could not have been more professional. She was responsive and so easy to work with. The tasting was wonderful and so affordable compared to other caterers I was looking at.  We selected them hands down and are so excited!
