Needs Suggestions & Help!

Okay, I believe this is my first time posting on the Detroit board. So Hello :)

I am in need of help finding a place to have a bridal shower that will house more than 50 women and be in the cheaper side of things..

Do any of you have any suggestions? I think 20 per plate is ridiculous!

Well I live in Sterling Heights.. his family is from this area.. and my family is from the Garden City/Canton area..

I'm thinking more my area.. but i'm willing to consider something out by my family.. esp if it's cheaper...

have you checked restaurants like Brio and Buca di Beppo?  I've been to showers there and the food is delicious.

Italian American Banquet Club in Livonia. Very reasonable for a shower buffet- I can't remember the specific amount, but it was under $15/pp.

We had our rehearsal dinner at East Side Mario's in Livonia on Plymouth Rd. They supply you a menu, you choose the top 5 things you want served, they give the guests that menu to choose from. My MIL paid but I believe it was the prices from the menu. They have a private room for large parties.......food is always great, large portions and reasonably priced.

Also, check into Roger's Roost on Schoenherr in Sterling Hts. I LOVE THEM! It's a fun place, they are huge, and can accomodate a large party. Call ahead and speak with someone who plans events there. BAsed on my experience, they don't "jack up" the prices for a private party. I know Buca Di Beppo and other chain restaurants have a fixed menu for large parties and it runs $25 per person (we looked into this for our rehearsal dinner............that was more than our wedding dinner!).

    Good luck.

You should take a look at the Summit in Canton. Thats actually where our wedding reception will be, I believe their lunch menu is very reasonable. Definitely check it out.
