Needing help getting started! :/

Hi everyone. My name's Jenn. I just got engaged the day before Easter. We were originally planning for a March wedding, but due to my fiance's job and crazy out of state work schedule, we've moved the date to December. I know, there's hardly any time. However, we aren't having an elaborate wedding. We both have small families and just want something small, intimate and either with southern charm or a place that would be perfect for a winter theme. I'm trying to find either a venue that can accommodate both the ceremony and the reception, or a small venue(inside or outside) for the ceremony and then a small restaurant for the reception. We must stay within the Orlando area. If anyone knows of any places like this, please let me know. Thanks everyone!  :)

First, CONGRATULATIONS!!  Second, you're going to be busy, but it's completely possible to plan a December wedding.  I know there are a lot of venues that fit what you're looking for.  I'm getting married at Tuscawilla Country Club in Winter Springs.  It is $9000 for the venue (ceremony & reception), includes food and top shelf open bar.  The Farmer's Market in Winter Park is gorgeous, and it would fit the rustic theme nicely.  I hope you find the perfect venue

Congrats and welcome!!!  There are literally TONS of places.  Do you have more info about you wedding, such as about how many people (small can mean a lot of different things) and budget?  Any more info about what exactly you're looking for look wise?  Indoor/Outdoor/Other?  Also, You said within Orlando area.. do you mean downtown or what's your radius for "Orlando area?"

I'm getting married at LMEC and it's beautiful! I agree with the Winter Park Farmer's Market, it has a great rustic feel. Have you checked out the Maisin and Jardin restuarant in Altamonte? It's on theknot.com!

Wow, thanks everyone for replying! :) We are looking at about 45 people. I would prefer an outside wedding, but the cold does worry me a bit. Budget wise, I'm not trying to go over $5,000. My fiance and I were originally just going to go to a justice of the peace, save money and have an awesome honeymoon. However, once I told my parents, that idea was out the window. I'm considering cutting down the guest list because neither of us want anything big, at all. And as for Orlando area, from downtown to Winter Park would work. We live in a small city called Ocoee, kind of near Windermere and Winter Garden, so the surrounding areas work. If you guys have anymore ideas, please let me know. Thanks again for helping!! :)

Congrats! Because of the time frame, I recommend hiring a coordinator so that you don't feel overwhelmed. Contact Jaclyn Fraser with At Last Wedding + Event Design...she's amazing and has good prices.

I also agree that the Farmer's Market is a great place for that sort of feel within Orlando.

    Good luck!

There is also Bella Collina Country Club which is located close to you.  The place is amazing!  The grounds are perfect for an outdoor wedding, the views overlook Orlando and there are the Disney fireworks at night.  They have a beautiful, rustic
restaurant with a fireplace, there is also a wine cellar that would fit all of your guests perfectly.    The food is wonderful and the staff is great.  There is nothing like it in Orlando!

Check out 310 Lakeside.  it is a restaurant in dt Orlando.  I just had my engagement party there. It was 45 people and we had appetizers, salad, soup, and an entree (filet). Also, we had beer and wine. The total was $2300 but keep in mind that $700 of that was beer and wine. If you want to save even more, then don't have alcohol. We brought in our own cake from Sprinkles which was $185. The private room they have is very large and you can do anything with it. There is even room to bring in a dj and have a big dance floor. Check them out online.  Also the coordinator there, Hillary, is amazing to work with!

As far as ceremony goes, you can always get married outside on Lake Eola. We are using Rev. Ciola for our ceremony and his wife is the ceremony coordinator. The cost is $200 and they are an awesome couple, they come to you!  Check them out as well.
