Sunday May 6th, we started our vacation in Los Angeles and headed to Disneyland to watch the fireworks. Since we were just going to watch fireworks, I was all comfy in my yoga pants, a sweatshirt, wearing my glasses, no makeup and covered in bronzer from a spray tan I had to wait to rinse off (think Snookie from Jersey shore, lol). We watched the fireworks (awesome as usual), then walked around..., past Finding Nemo and around to the “Storybook Land” boats. My BF suggested we take Devon (our 1 1/2 year old daughter) on them. We got right on and were the only 4 on the boat! As we went through “The cave of wonders” ,with the magic lamp, the cast member driving the boat said if you make a wish in the cave, it just might come true. As we got just outside the cave, the boat stopped & she said “Did someone make a special wish?” and next thing I knew, my BF was on his knee with the ring! It was soooo sweet and I was in shock! After I said yes, the cast member gave Devon a glass slipper and a diamond shaped case with a ring in it for her! She then announced the engagement by ringing a bell and saying “we have a newly engaged couple!” people in other boats were cheering… and so were the people in line as we pulled up to the dock. Then as we got out of the boat, they gave my BF a glass slipper to present to me (pic below). Another cast member then took the bell, ringing it and walking us through the park announcing our engagement and put us right on Peter Pan for a magical flight! It was an amazing, unforgettable night!! PJs, hat, bronzer and all! lol
I have the sweetest, most thoughtful, AMAZING boyfriend..oops, I mean fiancé, ever!
