Engagement party location?

Hi everyone!

I'm new and I just wanted to introduce myself and also see if anyone knew of an affordable place to host an engagement party? I've been looking for days and can't find anything that's quite what we're looking for. Thanks in advance :)

    I'd like to stay within Oakland County however the location isn't too important. We're thinking about having 40-50 guests and would like to stay within a budget of $2,500-3,000.

    Are you hosting the engagement party for yourself? If so, I would try to find someone that's willing to throw it instead. Generally, people that have engagement parties are thrown by other people, not the couple.

    Welcome and congrats on your engagement!

    With that price range, the meal price would probably be about $30-$35 per person, with the balance of it (another $25-$20 per person) making up your alcohol charges.

    In Oakland County you'd probably be looking at places on the "Big Beaver corridor" in the Troy area.........there's a Ruth's Chris steakhouse, Maggiano's, PF Chang's and other restaurants at Somerset Mall.

    In downtown Birmingham there's 220 Merrill, Fleming's Steakhouse.

    I personally love Andiamo's and they have multiple locations around metro Detroit and can accomodate large parties.

    I'm having mine at Antonio's in Farmington Hills. They have a few different locations and very friendly prices.
    Look at the banquet menu for prices. They make their own pastas daily and are so very delicious!
