LOST at planning a DW

do any of you ladies have any recomendations on a wedding planner or a wedding package that will make life easier at an affordable price? i want to invite about 20-30 people and have an intimate wedding either in hawaii or jamaica with a budge of 10,000. please, any advice is welcomed. i don't even know where to begin! there are so many hotel wedding packages to choose from! If the destination is set on hawaii, i'm considering renting condos instead of hotels for my guests. okay, thank you!!

  • Check Destinationweddings.com...That's who I'm going through and they are really great.

  • I got married in Jamaica.  What does that budget include?  ie. Is that for everything (including your travel expenses)?
  • I agree a TA may be able to help you narrow down some choices to stay.  I'm using Beach Bum Vacations.  We are getting married in PuntaCana, Dominican Republic.  Your travel will be a huge part of your expenses, and then it depends on what you do for a ceremony/reception that may add up.  Also, if your resort is a la carte, you may rack up some expenses on food and booze.  There are some DW brides on here from Hawaii, so hopefully they'll see your post and give you some tips!!!  GL!
  • For Hawaii, it depends on what Island you're looking at as to which WC's you may want to talk to.  Check out the Hawaii message board, go to their Hawaii vendors bio, and you can browse their Hawaii knottie list, where you can go to the bios for knotties who've gotten married on the islands and see which vendors they hired and what they thought of them.

Generally, all-inclusive packages are much less common in Hawaii than in Mexico or the Caribbean, but you can have a beach wedding and restaurant reception for a relatively affordable amount (that's what we're doing).
  • I was looking at destinationweddings.com. But i'm confused is it only $50 to get started? Also, they ever give you a rough estimate as to what they'll charge you at the end?

My fiance and I are considering Negril, Jamaica. :-)

  • I tried Destinationweddings.com but dreamsbride's scary details about them made me look elsewhere, so I contacted VIP Vacations after seeing theknot's filming of the owner's wedding.  I actually still think it is running on here too.  Anyway, we found them totally amazing and are doing our Sandals wedding with them.
  • we decided to go with Onestop Vacations http://www.negrilonestop.com/ they got the hookup down in Negril and they are awesome! Go to them if you wants to get married in Jamaica
