Elite Sound Entertainment - prices??

Hi girls,

I'm going to meet w/ Elite Sound tonight and my FI really wants to book w/ them.  I've heard great things about them (mainly for you all) but they are charging $1395 for 4 hrs of reception music (we don't need cocktail hour) and 1 DJ who would be Mike P I think.

Doesn't that seem like a lot? What did you/are you girls paying?? if it's not too rude for me to ask?  Embarassed

I think that sounds good- we are paying twice that for 1 live musician at cocktail hour, 1 dj and 1 mc for reception and some uplighting w/ them

I agree with gymchick, that price is pretty good. We are paying more than that and we have a dj, mc, uplighting and cocktail hour music as well.

But you think that sounds good even tho we have no uplighting, no mc, no cocktail hour?? That's why i thought it seemed high...

I don't think that sounds like a lot. I'm paying $1995 for 5 hours of music, a dj, mc, some led lighting. So we have an extra person and the led lighting, I don't remember what that is I know he went over it with us.  The uplighting was extra not included in that. So I think for the DJ and the music that's pretty good.

Also, don't forget, you are getting 4 hours of music but the DJ has to set up and clean up too. I think the equipment is pretty heavy. So he's working more than 4 hours.

They are a little higher than other DJ's but I've heard they are worth it.  They were top two with me but when I told that to Magic Moments they came down in price and gave me some stuff for free and so I booked with them.

Doesn't sound like a bad price, we're using them and paying $3000 for 4 hours, 1 DJ, 1 MC, gobo, lights, uplighting and an LED booth...the only think we didn't get are the TV's because personally I think they're distracting and not worth an additional $500. They also have a photobooth now but I don't know how much that is because we're getting ours from our photographer.

To me that sounds a little high. I'm paying $1400 with Colorblind Productions for 4 hr reception, cocktail hour and our ceremony. We're also doing the custom gobo as well.

We talked with them yesterday and they quoted us $1650 for four hours of DJ and MC and standard lighting (which he threw in cause our budget was around $1500 total).
