For those that did a first look......

How did you handle transportation to your first look site (if it wasn't where you and FI were getting ready). Drive yourselves? Have someone else drive you? Limo? Since our hotel offers a shuttle to and from the venue FI and I were hoping we could avoid the cost of the limo and just take the shuttle with our BP to get to our ceremony and reception site but we aren't sure of what to do about a first look (photos for this will not be taken at our venue as there is a wedding occuring before ours). I had one friend get married whose photographers offered and drove them to the first look site, but unless that was offered I would never bring it up, it just seems rude.

Well if the photographer drove them, did they go in separate cars? If not, that kind of kills the whole first look thing. We also did a first look at a location different than our ceremony or reception venue. DH rode in a car that his best man drove along with the other groomsman and parents. The limo came to pick up me, my MOH & parents. The photographer & videographer followed me from my getting ready spot to the picture location. When we got there, everyone waited around the limo while the vendors got their setup going & then we did our first look in this little secluded nook. Then all the rest of the BP and family came down & we did all of the portraits.

The bus picked DH and took him to our first look spot, which was my sisters house where I was getting ready.

I had a horse drawn carriage that took my BMs and myself to the First Look location. DH got driven there by his best man. My parents also came (we were doing first look and family photos), so after the first look DH and I took the carriage while the best man and my parents drove the wedding party. It was a little chaotic, but it worked for us.

The couple that was transported by photographers had 2 shooters so the H was driven by 1 after he finished getting ready and the 2nd shooter drove the bride from her getting ready location. I'm sure we'll figure out a way to get there I appreciate hearing what others have done

We had two limos (one for the guys, one for the girls) which transported us from our respective 'getting ready' locations to the Church. The guys arrived first and once they were secured, we came in and went straight to the Bridal Room. Our photog and DOC coordinated his entrance into the sanctuary and then had me come in.

My maid of honour drove me to the site.... the best man drove my hubby. They both stayed out of the way while we did our first look at had our pictures taken.

We had 2 cars- one for the guys and one for the girls. We met up at the photo location and then drove to the ceremony afterward.
