Compromise with Honeymoon...HELP!

Ok..so my fiance and I are having a hard time compromising on a honeymoon destination. I have my heart set on the Carribbean and he wants to go to Vegas. We have been to Vegas twice together and I've been there once on my own. I LOVE Vegas but at the same time I want to experience something new together for such a special time. I also want to relax and just enjoy and it is so busy in Vegas! We have a budget of $4,000 and cannot come up with a compromise at all. Does anyone have any suggestions for a honeymoon that can make us both happy? We looked at the Keys but they are on the high end of our budget. Any suggestions would be helpful and we are open to both domestic and abroad destinations as long as they are within budget...

    Piggy-backing off Duds..

    I think something like that is a good compromise. Puerto Rico might be a good option for you. San Juan is an AWESOME city, tons of nightlife and plenty of beaches. Several hotels have casinos. We stayed at the Conrad Condado and that had one (along with 4 pools, a private beach, 5 resaturants, amazing views and a nice casino). El San Juan Hotel also has one I know. Puerto Rico is pretty budget friendly for the Carribbean and you don't need a passport.

    Was also going to say Puerto Rico. Aruba has several casinos as well but is pricier.

    Is he wanting to do Vegas because of the night life or the casinos? If it's the casinos then I think the posters above have made some good suggestions. If its night life then there are plenty of areas in the Caribbean that would probably fit the bill.

    Do you have the time to do two destinations?  Might be your best bet.  FI and I are headed to Cabo for 5 nights, and then hitting Vegas for three nights on the way back.  So we'll get the relaxation time for the first part, and then cap off the trip in Vegas.  We love Vegas, so we wanted to make sure we went somewhere in the west (i.e. not Caribbean), so we could stop in Vegas either on the way out or the way back.  It's probably doable on your budget depending on where you decide to stay....Cabo is western Mexico, or there's Acapulco, Puerto Vallerta?

    We just got back from Aruba! LOVED it! Check my review on it  a few posts above! So much to do there, great night life. I've been to Vegas like 10-12 times, don't go there for a honeymoon! You and your FI will not be bored in Aruba. My husband and I partied there almost every night.

    What are his reasonings for wanting to go back to Vegas for your honeymoon?  Is it a time issue, money issue, or does he just love it there? 

    You will hopefully be able to take more vacations in the future, so could you talk him into a long weekend in Vegas sometime the next year or something? 

    I'm with you, I'd prefer the beach :)
