so being that our wedding is in april, and in canada the weather in february and march isnt friendly, I will most likely be pale as a ghost by april. is anyone going to do any airbrush tanning etc for the wedding. ive never tried it and not sure how it works. Ive read online that it can smude onto the dress which scares me...

has anyone tried this or thinking about it for the wedding?

Hey, ok so I have done airbrush tanning before, there is two different types, you can stand in the machine and do that ( way to orang, like oompa loompa orange) or you can have a person spray it on you. I prefer the person spraying it on its mixed to how light or dark you want it. I have been going to the tanning bed for a few times to get a base tan, to me it looks more natural than the spray tan. Also yes it can smudge and god forbid you go outside and it rains right after the spray tan and it rains, you will spot like a cheetah! ( that hapened with me) Good luck!

I have also done spray tanning before, but in a mystic tan booth. For the wedding I plan on getting airbrushed by someone.

I liked the mystic booth because they have little feet marks in the booth and you rotate so the spray gets all of you, you can also choose your color.

I do plan to get airbrushed by someone just because I heard its way better quality. My sister recently got airbrushed for a wedding she was in and it looked great. The place I am going to reccommends you exfoliate prior to getting airbrushed, and to do it two days before your even (keeping in mind that all of your waxing, shaving, manicures, pedicures need to be done before you get sprayed). The only issue my sister had with the spray tan, that I also saw when I went in the machine is it flakes off so if you aren't tan under it you will begin to look splotchy. Chlorine and salt water also cause the spray tan to flake. I am going to get a trial spray tan done for either my shower or bachelorette party.

I'm going pale.. because that's what I look like normal and I don't want to look completely different or fake looking on my wedding day! If you are normaly a pasty person, just stay that way!

I am team pasty since I will be pale as well... I have never tried tanning or spray tanning before. I am so fair skinned that sun (not sure if tanning does) brings out my freckles a lot more as well.

i live in seattle washington, so there isnt much sun here ether lol im getting the hand airbrush tan they mix the color to be perfect on your skin (so you dont look orange). i always get one two or three days before the event because you cant shower for 24 hours and it gets the darkest after 3 days and lasts 5

Agreed! There is a part of me that wants to look tan and fancy...or even just a healthy glow! But I am NEVER tan - just not my thing to spend a lot of time outside (or if I do, shade or sunscreen) - so I would look like a different person. Some friends are trying to talk me into it, but I think the most I'll do is maybe try those tinted lotions that are supposed to gradually add a little color to your skin.

I don't tan at all - I just go from pasty to bright red and back to pasty. The only exception is my left arm - I get a mean farmer's tan from driving. I am TERRIFIED that this is going to happen and the only tan spot on my body is my left arm from the elbow down. It will be long sleeves no matter how hot it is in April because I just don't want to risk it.
