Ceremony/Reception Location Suggestions Needed

I am looking for suggestions on venues for an upcoming November 2011 wedding for approx. 40 people. I want the ceremony and reception in the same location. I'd like it to be on the water. I am looking for more of a restaurant, intimate resort vibe rather than a large hotel. The budget is approx 3-4k, and I am open to weekdays for cost savings. Thank you so much for any suggestions!

Where are you at? When you say "on the water", do you mean beach, lake, pond or a fountain? Your location would give  us some ideas.

You can check out Anna Maria Island. The Sandbar, Beach House and Tiki bar offer ceremonies on the beach and receptions at the same place. I know the Sandbar books up pretty fast. The Tiki Bar is new and I don't even know if that is it's real name, I will look it up for you and get back to you.

We have a similar budget and are therefore using Fort De Soto Beach State Park. The largest shelter there is #14, which is right in front of the beach (some shelters are blocked by trees), has 2 big grills, electricity (they won't guarentee it though), and a dance floor area that we are using for the ceremony too. It's $80 to book it, plus $100 for the special event permit, no matter what day you book it for. :) The only 2 bad things are, green picnic tables, and if it rains we may be in trouble! ;) Other than that, it is perfect, and the price is right for us!! :) Oh, I think if you use professional vendors there is an extra fee, but it is less than $100....
