Parasol Question

I'm getting married on 10-10-11 on Maui at sunset. prlady is getting married on Oahu on 10-12-11. What's the best way to get the parasol to her after my wedding? We likely won't be able to send it out until 10-11.

Thoughts?

I would wrap them all together in bubble wrap and then mail them to her overnight. It might be costly depending on the size of the box and the weight.

guess you or someone else could try to overnight it on 10/11, but it's iffy as to when it will arrive! or you could go with UPS or FedEx. They might have a better track record/price than USPS.

See if any of her guests might be visiting Maui first then flying to Oahu.  You could meet up with them to hand carry.  Also, I don't know if airlines still allow this after 9/11 and the new rules, but in the past, I have been able to drop a letter to the airline at the airport and confirm it for a specific flight, and have someone meet the flight upon landing.  This was most helpful when I ... forgot my keys at my parents' house 8 hours away, LOL.

Shoot it might even be cheaper for someone to purchase a second parasol versus overnight fed-exing the one being passed around....
