Have you booked it yet? Where are you going??

FI and I met with a travel agent today to start discussing options. We're possibly considering an AI in Jamaica. Still undecided as of right now though.

We are going to a Sandals Resort, Royal Carribean Jamaica, for 10 days 9 nights. Ive never been on a plan so I wanted somewhere close and we both wanted to go to a Sandals resort.We booked it not to long ago, def excited ! Im actually becoming more excited for the honeymoon then the wedding lol.

I want to do a luxery AI somewhere we haven't been before (Dominican, Jamacia) but the flights to both in Sept are AWFUL and the weather can be mighty sh*tty in Sept. Secrets Maroma in the Mayan is priced REALLY good for Sept, but we've been to Mex 2x.

Orginially it was Italy but $5000 and a week wasn't exactly reasonable (we could have probably stayed in mediocre places and managed the budget, but I want to be lazy and a week really isn't enough).

Then we thought Hawaii but the only way we could afford that was a condo. But then we would have to rent a car and buy groceries, and that just seemed too much like "real" life.

FI is ready to book Maroma but I want to try and convince him to go to the mountains for a couple days and then wait to go on our annual family "hot" trip (either mex or cuba) in Febuary.

Ahhh the honeymoon.... Well we have been looking at 3 separate places... We're going to put the 3 places in a hat and pick it from there. We are torn between Hawaii, Fiji or Tofino BC. All 3 of those places would be amazing!

We haven't officially decided. We don't plan on going right away; we'll go in January to escape the cold!!

We're leaning towards Jamaica at this point. We'd love St. Lucia but only if we can get a good deal. The Sandals places look amazing but I'm not sure if we're willing to pay double when all we really want is a nice beach and some time to chill. We don't plan on spending much time inside so an amazing room isn't a selling point for us, and we don't eat a ton so as long as food is edible we're happy. We just want guaranteed heat and a beautiful beach. Costa Rica was fantastic last year and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for HOT HOT HOT and who would like to do some amazing sight seeing.

We are getting ready to book ours too. After much research and discussion, we've finally decided to go to Barbados. We are going to stay at the Crane in the suite with a private plunge pool. I'm so excited!! I can't wait!

we've been looking into it more recently. a long time ago we decided on hawaii (i think we decided before we actually got engaged, haha). but we've been doing research and i think we are going to be there for about 10 days, staying on oahu for 5 and maui for 5. we haven't booked anything but i've been watching prices.

we get a couple free nights at a hyatt because we are having our reception there, and all the $ spent on that becomes points we can use. but i am still trying to do research on hotels because i'd LOVE to stay at a place where you have more of a suite and not just a hotel room. but it's hard because i've never been to hawaii.

I booked through Hellenic Holidays with Petros. They are SUPER awesome.

We are spending roughly $10k including flights, which is a LOT, but this is a once in a lifetime trip. Check out reviews for Hellenic Holidays. I've only dealt with the planning for the trip & Petros has been awesome! The reviews that people have left for him make me VERY confident that my trip will go off without a hitch!!

We also booked Secrets Resort in Maroma Beach. We went with a local TA and that is the AI she suggested. My FI has never been a plane so he has never been anywhere he can't drive. He wanted to go to Italy but after talking we decided that might not be the best place to go on his first trip. Hopefully we can get to Italy for our 5 year anniversary.

Smartly, we are going to Germany too! I've been before but FI hasn't. He is looking foward to visiting Dusseldorf to try some German beers, and I am really looking forward to visiting old places I loved like Frankfurt and Dresden, as well as seeing Munich for the first time.
FI has this week off, and the HM details are his job, so he is working on that this week.

My parents have a time share and have allowed FI and me to use one of their weeks for the honeymoon. Because of that, we had to book a long time ago, back in September, and even then we only had a couple options that allowed a Sunday check in. We are spending a week in the Cayman Islands

We just booked ours last Friday for Secrets Maroma Beach in Cancun. We're leaving the Monday after the wedding and staying for 7 nights/8 days. We booked through a TA after comparing the quotes she gave us vs. what we found on other websites. This will be FI's first time on a plane and my first time out of the country, as well as our first "real" vacation together (we went to the shore for 5 days once, but that's it). So excited!
