Good local budget-friendly locations?

We are hoping to get married in 2015, and want to find some locations here in Mass.  We are hoping for a 10k-15k budget for around 150 people.  Is that even possible here in New England?

We don't know where to start either.  We know we want the date 5-10-15 (it'll be our 5 year dating anniversary!) and that we want it to be a dinner wedding (that was FH's BIG thing!).  For me, my number 1 is photography and possibly an inside location...are we dreaming?

Not at all. I have estimated for our wedding of 135 that I will probably be at 11,000 tops. I am having my ceremony and reception at Groveland Fairways. I am doing some DIY things and got good deals on a lot. We are having open bar beer and wine only during cocktail hour, doing my own centerpieces (lemons in a vase surrounded by votives and possibly on top of centerpiece mirrors) I got silk bouquets. My Dj is around 800 and that includes ceremony and all night, photographer 800 including 8 hours, engagement shoot, 5 x 5 album, and rights to all photos. For food I am doing a buffet that includes prime rib and stuffed chicken breast potatoes vegetable salald rolls. Vegetables and dip, crackers and cheese, crab meat stuffed mushrooms, and scallops wrapped in bacon. DId my own save the dates and sending only to out of state guests but am have professionally done invites at 285 for 85 and those are custom made. So I think it is definately doable you might just have to do some DIY things and really budget. Good Luck! But I definately suggest checking out Groveland Fairways, Cloverleaf Catering, Bellaire Music, and 1026 Photography! P.S. This is all on a Saturday night Holiday weekend so a pricey time!

I also second Groveland Fairways!!  I am using Affairs Catering, Ra-Mu and the Crew for a DJ, and Amore Photography.  We are working with 150 people and keeping it around $20,000.  That includes my dress, his tux, wings, everything else.  I definitely think $15,000 is doable especially with some DIY and my photographer is almost $3k so that is a big budget breaker.

My guest list is at 180 and my budget is approx $15,000 for everything. It's not impossible. My venue is Westford Regency and it's been great to work with Rhi so far. As PP said, just keep your budget in mind when picking things and you'll probably have to DIY on some things.

We're getting married at the Publick House in Sturbridge in six weeks and we're well below $10,000 for about 120 people.  You can have ceremony and reception at the same location, either inside or outside under a tent.  And they take care of the cake, food, tables, chairs, etc.  They also have hotel rooms for out-of-town guests.  Check out New England School of Photography in Boston for cheaper, but very talented, photographers.  Ours is only $1,000 and is staying from 4-11.  She's also traveling free of charge down to Sturbridge for us :) Good luck!
