affordable cake

Hi Ladies,

Do you have any reccomendations of a bakery that can provide an affordable cake?  We are looking for 2, possibly 3 tiers, a simple design with buttercream icing.

Thanks!

A friend of mine actually got hers through the Rocky River Giant Eagle and it was incredible, not to mention beautiful.  A lot of pastry students apparently work at their bakeries.

We are using Becker's in Fairview Park.  The cake was the best that we tasted.  The tiered cakes are about $3 a slice,  with sheet cakes at less than $1 a serving.  We are getting 3 tiers (for 100 people) and 2 sheetcakes...

Breads and Beyond Bakery in Parma is around $1.75/slice for basic flavors and basic design. Yummy, too! We used them.

We tasted a *lot* of cake at a lot of price points, but ultimately ordered our cake from Kelly Housley at Any Way You Ice It in Clinton, Ohio. She's a one-woman operation who left Big Bakery to strike out on her own. Her cake was hands down the most delicious, and at $2.25/serving, extremely affordable. Also, since she's a smaller business, she has given us exceptional personal service. Sadly, she doesn't have a website, but can be contacted at housley4@att.net or 330-603-2959.

    Good luck and happy tasting!

I actually just got married yesturday and we got our cake from Giant Eagle as well. The guests ranted and raved about it all night. It was cheap(they messed up pricing ours so it was actually incredibly cheap) but soo good!

Hi! This is Kelly Housley from Any Way You Ice It in Clinton Ohio.  I just wanted everyone to know that I now have a website.  Please visit me at www.anywayyouiceit.com.  I will also be at the January 2011 Today's Bride show at the John S. Knight center in Akron.  Hope to see you there!
