Into. (sorry its so long)

I realize that i have already posted asking for assistance, and hadn't introduced myself. FI and i have been engaged for roughly 4 months now, we met 3 years ago when we were doing feild training (both active duty) ended up in FL together in school (dif bases) and then i went off to NC for more schooling and then ended up in AZ. FI ended up going to NC.. we stayed in touch over the past few years because we were friends and shared mutual friends thanks to the MC. well roughly 7-8 months ago we started realizing that maybe we should give it a shot.. we were both some what hesitant given the distance and his upcoming deployment but we figured the worst that could come of it was it just didnt work. we suffered the first 2-3 months of our relationship relying on emails, phone calls, texts and skype dates. He flew out to see me on his pre-deployment leave and we knew then that we couldnt never not be in each others lives. it just worked to well. well we were blessed.. i was flying out to NC 2 weeks later to see my sister who is stationed on the same base FI is and lucky for us his deployment got pushed back, 2 days before i was to fly back to AZ and 5 days before FI was to deploy he asked me to marry him. How could i say no? Laughing he is my best friend.

FI is due back from deployment soon, and i could not be happier, i will admit, when it comes to being engaged during a deployment i am spoiled. i am lucky enough to hear from him daily, whether it be emails, or a phone call, so to all those Military FI out there. keep your head up! its rough but in the end it is going to be more than worth it!

anyway, enough of my ranting. just wanted to say "Hey!!"

oh and by the way, if anyone has questions, i will do my best to answer, i suppose there are perks to being in the military and engaged to another service member.

    Welcome to the board.

Please take out when he is due back. I know its an estimate but I think its breaking OPSEC. Not trying to be rude. Just trying to keep him safe
Military Brides December 2011 Siggy. Holiday picture with your SO. We suck and don't have one :/ Those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.

    Very sweet story.
    Welcome to the board, again!
Deployments are a pain, but most of us have experienced them so we feel your misery. We have quite a few prior AD ladies here as well.
Not me, personally... Although I grew up on a post in Germany (Army brat), marrying the Navy man has been a definitely change from the Army life!

Hope you stick around and GL with the planning!

thank you so much for bringing that to my attention, being active duty i should certainly know better than to do so. and you are correct, technically i was breaking OPSEC with that. i appreciate you pointing that out to me!

Eh... I'm not that concerned about a "roughly 4 months" comment. That's pretty vague and changes constantly, I'm sure... but I suppose better safe than sorry.
