Reception Venue Help - North of Pittsburgh

Hi everyone! I am newly engaged (as of Saturday!) to the love of my life and so excited to plan a great wedding.

The ceremony will be held in Butler and I have spent every spare second the past few days researching reception venues online. We are looking to spend $10,000 at most and will have a guest list of about 130-150. We are hoping for June 2013 (and open to a Friday wedding) or September 2013, if June isn't possible. My fiance is from the city so I think any type of farm location is out, because I know there are a few nice ones in the Butler area.

I am open to looking in Butler, Cranberry, Wexford, North Hills, etc. I did find The Great Hall online and we will be going to their open house on Saturday...but in addition to scouring these boards, I thought it would be easier to just post and introduce myself!

Thanks in advance for your help Smile

  • Congratulations on your engagement!! Happy planning.

You might want to look into The Chadwick. I personally don't have any experience with it, but a colleague had her wedding there and really liked it. I *think* it would work with your budget, too.
  • Look into the Chadwick.  I liked it and the staff were super nice, but FI didn't like it.

  • I will continue to recommend Shakespeare's @ Olde Stonewall Golf Club in Ellwood City - that is where our wedding is going to be - great facility, food, and packages - we are looking forward to our Sept 2 wedding so much!!!!
  • THE CHADWICK!  They are amazing!  Just had our wedding there on June 2nd and I would recommend anyone to them!  The staff there is ridiculously awesome!

  • Shakespeare's is awesome!!  Also try Cranberry Highlands Golf Course--the room is mostly windows with a great view.  A friend of mine had a wedding at the Golf Course and with a champagne toast and great menu was under your planned budget.
A family member has a reception planned at beautiful Shakespeare's --now offering packages that include two of either chair covers (www.pittsburghweddingrentals.com) a cake (Carol's Cakes) or centerpieces.  Happy Planning!
