How long is the wedding march?

 I have found a beautiful song that I'd like do my own wedding march to down the aisle. I am still working on the song for all of my beautiful maids to walk down to as well. Back to the bridal march... how long does this usually take? The song I like works until about 2:30 minutes then it would need to fade out. 

Is that enough time to get down the aisle? I honestly have no idea. Thank you!

    I went to my venue and actually counted how many steps it took to walk up the aisle (it took only 20!).  I used that to help me plan out the processional.  Our pianist composed  the song for me to walk up the aisle to but it was almost 4 minutes long and I didn't want him to have to cut out any of it, so we chose to have the entire wedding party and me all walk in to that song.  It worked out great!

    Definitely do what vexie did: Count your steps up the aisle. Don't forget to add in the amount of time for each of your bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids, flower girl, ring bearer, etc. If you're having a processional for the groomsmen, parents, or grandparents, factor that in too. Also, after you count your steps - recount and think about how you'll be doing it in heels. :)
