glass cylinder centerpiece help

I'm thinking of glass cylinders with flowers and floating candles as my centerpieces, does anyone know what is the best way to save when buying vases and reception decor?

Check with your venue. Most have a few options available that you can use for free. It's possible they already have the cylinders you are looking for.

If you are doing the sunken flowers, also check with your florist. They may rent the cylinder in addition to selling the floral arrangents.

If you are buying, check DollarTree.com. Last I had checked a month of so ago they sold these. Cheap.

I did these for my wedding. I bought the vases over time one or two a week using craft store coupons. But Aero suggestions are good ones to consider as well. Good Luck!

Craigslist! I got my vases (huge brandy glasses) for $20 for 24 of them! They were in good shape! I would recommend Craigslist if you don't mind if they're used. I also got my mirrors to go underneath the glasses from craiglist too!

Definitely check out the classifieds board here on the Knot.  Also keep an eye out on Sundays for coupons to Michaels, AC Moore & JoAnns.

You can usually get them from the florist either to buy or rent.  I used Lipinoga Florist and we didnt do floating flowers but we did flowers on top and they just charged for the flowers I think, it wasnt too expensive.  Plus, renting is so much more "green" than buying, lol.
