I feel like I'm coming late to the game, I just booked my wedding reception venue this past Saturday for August 18. But i'm just curious, what do you all have booked already? I'm a little overwhelmed and I'm trying to figure out what I should do next.

photographer thats it. Were having an outdoor wedding and ceremony so were renting a tent and dont have to book a venue.

I got engaged a month and a half ago and in this time I've booked all the major stuff and ordered my dress, so don't worry, it can be done in no time. Good luck and come here for questions!

So far I have a reception venue and a ceremony venue, a photographer, a band, possibly a baker, and a dress! The band is some of our friends who have played professional gigs. The church was across the street from our venue so that helped. We just met with the photographer last Monday, I got my dress Friday (on my first shopping trip!) and picked up cake samples yesterday; that was a busy week! I'm feeling a bit better about where I am in planning than I was even two weeks ago so I think it's important to remember that once you have the appointments set and keep researching and generating ideas, the whole thing can fall together pretty quickly. My biggest question mark (and panic-inducer!) right now is the catering but I have plans to meet with a caterer who also does rentals after the holidays.

We have the reception venue, a park picked out (also doing an outside ceremony) just have to get the permit, our floral, a baker picked, either a dj or my FI buddies cover band, and our caterer. It can get done, we did a lot of these over the summer before I started school since I already knew I would be in high water with how this semester/next semester is planned out.

I just have the venue and photographer, as well as my cake baker (but she's also a bridesmaid!) And I only have the photographer already because he's my uncle lol I do have a wedding planner though, so I'm relying on her to not let me get behind. She did say I don't need to do the caterer until February or so. I'll probably do the DJ around the same time.

I'm getting married aug 18th too! I only have the reception booked. I'm working on the photographer and dj now, and hoping to see churches when this semester is over, during winter break.

Date Twins!!.... I have the WC,, ceremony (location/reception), florist, photographer, and earlier I got an email from a dj that I had to hunt down, he is available on the 18th so I am super happy (crossing fingers all goes well with our meeting on Saturday)! But as PP mentioned dont feel overwhelmed...I got engaged in Oct and was able to get all of this together within a month. This site is very helpful... good luck with your planning :-)

We have the ceremony and reception venue booked (both at the same spot), our Dj (who's a friend of ours.), photographer, limo, got my dress, got the guys attire figured out. We still need a baker and I have to get my BMs on the same page dress wise! Oh and I also have our STD all addressed and ready to be sent out, but not til Jan. We hand delivered some to close family!

I have the venue (ceremony & reception at the same place), the photographer, the DJ, the Day of Coordinator, and I have my dress.

I feel behind too. My original goal was to get all things booked by the end of the year, but that is proving to be harder than I thought.

Just take a deep breath, and start with the most important vendor to you first, and work your way down the list...

I have been a little ahead of the game the entire time I have been engaged so I have almost everything bookked besides our transportation and night of hotel room. But you still have more than enough time to get things checked off of your list!

We got engaged in April and have booked our Venue (ceremony/reception site), and they also handle the catering and all that goes with it, we have our photographer and have already done Engagement photos, we have our DJ and officiant. Our florist will be someone I work with in the tradeshow industry. We're working on centerpieces and know what our favors will be. I got my dress & veil back in July when my Mom was in town and after the holidays will meet with 2 H/MU people. FBIL is working on our STDs now so we can send them out in early Jan.

Hmm let me think...we have the venue, officiant, flower, DJ, photographer, linens, invites and my dress all done and booked. I'm thinking we are not going to worry about the tuxes, bridesmaids and cake done until next year.

We have the ceremony venue, officiant, reception hall w/ catering, Photographer, DJ, items for centerpieces, all dresses & accessories. Still need to get a baker and order invitation pieces (i'm doing them myself).

Dont worry, I felt that way with school and work I couldnt catch up. But I found out Im not far behind and at this point its easier now to catch up then later to try and catch up. Im getting married August 11th. I have the venue, photographer, recently got my dress. I am in the process of contacting florist, cake-makers, dj, caters so I can have all that booked by the end of DECEMBER!

Just take a DEEP breath, and i recommend a wedding checklist that tells you between what months to get what done.

We've been engaged for almost a year so we have the: venue/ceremony location, officiant, photographer, videographer, florist, DJ, make-up/hair, my dress, shoes, veil & jewelry, BM dresses, invitations & save the dates & florist.

I just got engaged on Sep 3rd and we decided on Aug 3rd as our wedding date. I started stressing out because everyone was telling me that i'm crazy for planning my wedding in such a short time.

I kinda went crazy in Sept & Oct- i dropped everything for wedding planning ate, slept and drank it after work and on the weekends, but now I've been taking a break... i'm definitely a little wedding'ed out!

So far I have the Ceremony/Reception area, DJ, my dress and veil, BM dresses, Cake, photographer/videographer, florist, linens, makeup/hair, invitations (picked out).

Everything will come together for you! No need to worry!
