opinion about makeup

I do not ever wear makeup and at my trial I hated the way I looked! i felt like i was a clown even though she did a "natural" look. I am thinking of going without makeup all together. What do you guys think?

    I don't wear it either. Don't even own a lipstick. I'm going to wear some LIGHT make up only to make my eyes pop in the pictures and add a little color. I'm so pale that otherwise I'd look ghostly.

    I think you should have some.  Picture flashes will wash out what little color you do have in your skin.  The reason even natural eye makeup looks dramatic is because the flash will wash out a lot of it.  I think you should still where makeup, but tell them you want to tone it down even more from the trial.

    You DON'T want to see the natural look they gave me... needless to say I will be doing my own makeup LOL OMGOSH!!!! umm NO LOL Fi didn't even want to walk home with me lol

    I say go light natural...yourself... or have a friend do a trial on you? My MOH will probably end up doing mine...

    I concur. I think your eyes pop in the trial picture and in your picture my eyes immediately get drawn to the blush on your cheeks.

    I firmly believe you should wear SOME makeup on your wedding day. The flash from pictures will wash you out if you're not wearing any. I would never let anyone photograph me without makeup..not even just a snapshot! Something I learned from acting on stage. Your eyes cheeks and lips need color and definition and even if you think it looks heavy in person, it won't in pictures.

    I have never worn makeup  (except in high school for proms and homecomings) but my sister did my hair and makeup then but for my first wedding i had it done and it looked fine but in pics i looked like a dang racoon :( maybe i'm afraid of that too

    I have to agree too, sorry. I don't like wearing make up either, it feels cakey too. But I may be the type of make up too. Bare minerals and powder foundation make it feel really bad, but liquid does not feel cakey at all. I would suggest if there is a sephora near you, go and have them suggests some that will work, they will evn apply it while you are there so you can get a feel for it.

    I use bare minerals for daily use, but it doesn't look great in photos with a flash.  For our wedding, I am using make up forever HD (you can find at Sephora), and although expensive, it looks really nice in pictures.  Good luck!

    I had a very similar experience, two trials, one at an Aveda salon and another at the MAC counter.  Both were very heavy and the first actually made my skin itch horribly, I don't normally wear makeup and they really caked it on and it looked horrible. FI said he thought I looked older and 'not me', so that's seriously not a good thing, pictures or no.  The MAC counter, I thought looked better, but as the day went on my eyes were a little wet (from my contacts) and the 'smokey eye' they did made me look like a raccoon, and I hate the smokey eye look on myself, I looked like I'd been punched.  That being said, I'm doing my own makeup, a MLBB (my lips but better) look with a light/natural looking eyeshadow and some mascara.  I don't think makeup needs to be overdone in order for pictures to come out looking nice and I've spoken to my photographer about it since she did our engagement pics where I did my own makeup for those as well and she has said it would be fine, so I'm not worried.  I think it's nice to do a bit of makeup if you don't normally wear it, but no need to NOT look like yourself on your wedding day!!!

    I AGREE. I really like your trial run. My eyes get drawn to your blushing cheeks and I think it looks beautiful. Sorry, just being honest. However, you do look beautiful either way. I am just saying it doesn't seem overdone in the photo.
