new and need to find a jeweler

Hello!  My name's Meg, and my FI and I will be getting married at the end of June this year.  We recently moved to the area from Las Vegas and now are in desperate need of a local jeweler who would be able to create a custom wedding band for me.  Has anyone had any positive experiences with someone in the area?

Thanks for your help!

My family has a great jeweler in Tarrytown.  Both my wedding band and engagement ring is from him (Steve).   It's a small privately owned business.

Stan at the Jewel Tree is fabulous.   They are located in the Poughkeepsie Galleria.  I love the fact that they aren't a chain store....amazing quality.

My FI used Jim at J Caroll Jewelers in Newburgh.  Small place, personalized attention.  Great experience.  When he left, the only condition was that he had to meet me.  It's a one man show, based only on referrals.  Love that special attention.

D'Errico Jewelers in Scarsdale and Mt. Kisco (we went to the Scarsdale location) was great.  I'm not sure if we're going to buy our wedding bands from them or the store my FI got my ring at in Manhattan but Sal D'Errico was so accommodating.

They have a jewler who comes in every Saturday and will draw out rings for you true to scale (size, diamond weight, details).  They have a beautiful log cabin store and do so much custom work.  It is definitely worth a trip to at least check it out.

    Good luck!

You should also go to Twin Jewelers- they have a location in Yonkers on McLean Ave and also one in Pleasantville.  They are owned by 2 brothers and do all custom work.

They made my e-ring from a pic my fiance brought in and it is breathtaking!  They are also going to make my bands.

To top it all off, they are probably 2 of the nicest people you will meet!
