where to stay the first night?

My FI and I are getting married in Gilbert on 4/14/12. We are spending our honeymoon in Greer, AZ but we need a beautiful romantic place to stay for our first night here in the valley. Any suggestions?

The Legado in Gilbert, AZ has a beautiful honeymoon suite. My mom stayed there on her wedding night. I wanted to for mine but unfortunately it is booked that night. They are reasonably priced too.
Married my better half on 11/6/2011.

Try FireSky Resort in Old Town. Great rooms, nightly free wine hour, close to everything you'd want to do in Old Town. It's where I got engaged!

Just called THe Legado. They told me their honeymoon suite is reserved for ppl who have their weddings on site. :/ However they can be booked by others but only 30 days out. So if you wanted the room say April 30th the earliest you could try and book it would be March 30th. What a drag! I'm sure the moth of April will be filled. Sad face.

I couldn't even find pictures of the honeymoon suite on their website.

My husband and I stayed there for our wedding night, and really were not impressed at all with the honeymoon suite or the service for what we paid.  When we arrived, the ac wasn't even on in the room, and it was HOT in there.  We were hot, tired, and just wanted to cool down and relax and it took forever for the room to cool off.  We also had some issues with them messing up our reservation...  we were supposed to have it for two nights and they actually checked us out, took all of our stuff out of the room...  including my wedding dress, and didn't even call us or anything to verify or inform us of it.  We came back to the key not working, and not knowing what the heck was going on.  It took forever to get it straightened out.

The only good thing about the room was the tub.

Oh wow! Thanks for that. I am so sorry that happened to you. I am a big fan of reading reviews before I purchase anything and was going to look at their reviews today but I think you said it all. Good to know but so sorry it happened to you. And on your wedding night! I'd be outraged and that is not a feeling you want to have on your wedding night.

Yeah, we were pretty upset. They had all of our stuff (including my dress and wedding day jewelry!) out in the hallway on a luggage cart for who knows how long while we were bringing family back to the airport and saying goodbyes.

We are staying at the Brand New Sheraton in Downtown Phoenix.  They were pretty reasonable for a brand new hotel.
