NWR: Remember when TV used to be GOOD?!

So a poll came up on my month board and one of the questions was: Favorite Childhood TV Show and I have to say, I had a million of them when I was a kid!

Every Friday night it was TGIF and Saturday was SNICK on Nickelodeon.

Cartoons were HILARIOUS! My favorites being:
Rockos Modern Life
Ahhhhhhhh!! Real Monsters
Hey Arnold
Doug
Ren & Stimpy

Even the sitcoms were better:
Clarissa Explains it all
Are you Afriad of the Dark
Salute Your Shorts
Hey Dude
All That (the ORIGINAL)

Legends of the Hidden Temple

Kids today don't even know what they are missing!! What were your favorite childhood TV shows?

    Oh my gosh. I loved ALL those shows! Here are some more...

    Where in the World is Carmen Sand Diego
    Rug Rats
    Inspector Gadget
    Ghostbusters (the cartoon)

    I also loved Daria and I watched the MTV and VH1 daily top 10 video countdowns. Every. Day.

    Aww I loved all of those shows! I was also into the girly cartoons including My Little Pony, Carebears and Rainbow Brite. Also, I was totally a Mickey Mouse Club fan and watched it religiously.

    When I was really little I watched Sesame Street, Mr Rogers, and Electric Company.  We spent all morning Saturday watching cartoons (Smurfs, My Little Pony, Looney Tunes, He-Man, Gummy Bears, Snorks, etc), and every Sunday was Wonderful World of Disney on ABC.

    When I was older I liked the Cosby Show, The Wonder Years, Blossom, Family Ties, Growing Pains, and The Simpsons.

    I dunno if TV ever was good, but I definitely have happy memories of my "favorite shows" when I was a kid.  :)

    Loony Tunes!! And just about all of the other songs listed.. Every once in a while I'll think of it or see a rerun of rugrats and go looking for Hey Arnold or Doug haha. I also loved the Muppet Babies cartoon.

    Ahh Real Monsters was so freakin funny. I loved Doug too!
    Are You Afraid of the Dark was by far like the scariest show ever. I would LOVE to see reruns of that show and see if it still made me not sleep at night haha.
    I can remember a few episodes of like lost children or freaky aliens in a big game room. They didn't even have great special effects and it was still scary!

    Was anyone else not allowed to watch Salute Your Shorts bc they said "fart" in the opening song?

    Oh and Tiny Toons - Loved that show - I still know the entire opening song

    I know the entire opening of Salute your Shorts - haha - me and my dad watched ren and stimpy together, so they were ok with me watching salue your shorts.

    I was also obsessed with the Power Rangers - the ORIGINAL - I had such a crush on the green ranger - who turned into the white ranger, lol

    Ohh Power Rangers! I remember in second grade, waiting to go into our classroom in the morning, having some deep conversations about Power Rangers.
