DJ selection

We are seriously considering hiring Turntable Events for our wedding DJ.  We spoke to them and they seemed to be on board with what we want.  My only concern for a DJ is that we definitely do not want over-the-top cheesy, and we don't want an MC who will be infiltrating our crowd to try to recruit people for group dances.  We just want someone who is fun and entertaining without being too intrusive and making the event about them.

Anyone the has used Turntable Events or another DJ have any suggestions or opinions??

    We used Scotty on the Air Entertainment, and he was awesome.  REALLY fun, but not so in love with the microphone that he dominated the night.  He just played amazing music and kept everyone happy...we got SO many compliments.  PLUS, he's a REALLY great guy and very comfortable to be around.  My mom and I met him at a bridal expo where we were surrounded by other DJs who offered every bell, whistle, and dog-and-pony show to the point I had a headache, and he was just in a nice little corner not getting in your face.  He also allows you to plan your entire wedding through your own personal website, where you choose the music for everything and all he has to do is show up and be awesome.  He met with us twice...once when my husband and I met with him (after my mom and I met him at the expo) and once a weke before the wedding to iron things out.  His prices are also incredibly resonable.

    We used Turntable Events for our wedding and we couldn't be happier we did.  I also couldn't stand the thought of some attention-hungry DJ taking over my wedding. That's when I came across Spencer at Turntable Events.  He DJ'd my sister's wedding the year before mine and was exactly what we were looking for, which was very entertaining and unobtrusive.  He's a contemporary DJ which is essentially the exact opposite of the cheesy over-the-top DJ you're in fear of.  Extremely fun and relevant and a true professional.  I couldn't recommend Spencer and Turntable Events any higher. You won't be disappointed

    We used Strictly Entertainment DJs.  Can't recommend them enough.  Great MC, Great DJ!!

    I booked Spencer at Turntable Events for my wedding this September, and he has been awesome throughout the whole process. Obviously my wedding hasn't happened yet, so I can't speak to that part of things, but he is very communicative and easy to get ahold of if you have questions, and I have yet to read a single bad thing about them online anywhere (and I did a TON of research on DJs!).
