Our story is one that brings a tear to my eye everytime I read/watch it. It is surreal sometimes that someone has cared for me this many years, and then decides to plot and plan so hard to make my mouth hit the floor, and for me to be utterly swept off my feet. No other than my bestie! Please share with friends and family, even if we don't win...I feel like we already have :) We are currently 23rd out of 495 couples. All we need is to be in the top 20 to be eligible for the grand prize. Thanks so much ladies, and I look forward to hearing all of your stories as well. These men of ours really are something, aren't they?

    My bad. For one, my fiance and I are paying for everything and planning our wedding 992 miles apart for June. Our honeymoon is paid for as well. This is just a contest Jase entered so that we may have some actual alone time without my kids...I thought this was a community of support, not a community of people who spitefully go out of their way to be vendictive. I will pray for those people. I am sure there are a lot of single moms out there just like me who deserve this contest win just as much as my fiance does. Not saying there aren't. So in a way, if these women you speak of DO in fact vote for other entries out of their mental instabilities...then I'm helping others indirectly :) And I'm ok with that. A lot of my friends are in the contest as well, so either way, voting is welcome for your fave story :) The only reason I posted this request is to share my proposal story and hear everyone else's. I obviously am in the wrong place for sharing and caring about engagement stories, and sincerely apologize for upsetting any of the "community". Either way, best wishes to you all and may your wedding day and marriage be as beautiful as the love within.  Thank you for the congrats, Lucy :)

    Wow mental instabilities?  Are you a psychiatrist?  Pretty incredible that you can diagnose over the internet.

    I think it was pretty nice of the previous posters to warn you about what might happen.  That's nice that your wedding is 992 miles away, though I assure you this is not a unique situation.

    OP, not everyone here would go to vote for your competition, but most just wouldn't vote at all. Like others have said, you're not the only one paying for your own wedding and planning miles apart. If anything, such a post would invite a lot of other women who are equally deserving to sign up. Not a bad thing, just wouldn't be helping you.
