Whenever I get on the phone, the people here (in production/warehouse) come up with a question and start hovering around me. It drives me absolutely mental, and usually it is stupid questions they SHOULD have been able to figure out themselves. I hate it when people hover around me.
Also, people calling with questions. If you left a message at 1, calling me at 1:30 on the pretext that you didnt know if I got the message is just annoying.
Re: work annoyances
Gossip. I know for a fact people at work know about my bonus who should not. The only people who should know are those two people who handle payroll and my boss. Confidentiality means nothing to these payroll people. I know my boss would not say anything. I am going to address it with my boss. Hopefully they get a kick out the door as they have done similar things mulitple times to people.(They gossiped about a co-worker who was pregnant and asking about mat leave before the co-worker told our boss - fuuckers).

Also, when people are late for meetings. I'm sitting in my office right now waiting for someone who was supposed to be here at 4:00. I even went looking for her and couldn't find her. Lame.
I also hate people who can not smile and say good morning. You are 50 something years old and you really have not developed enough social skills to do this? I judge this hard and consider you a sucktastic person.
When I leave someone a message and they call me back with out listening to it first and then I have to repeat myself all over again. That bugs the shiit out of me. We went through a bunch of lay-offs recently, and 2 of the "spared" people in our call center are both related to somebody important in the company (One is a manager's mother, the other is another department head's son). They've both been with the company for almost a year, and they still can't do their jobs without somebody holding their hand through the process.
I'm in Billing, and just this morning, the woman got a call from a customer who wanted to pay their bill, but hadn't received it in the mail yet. Woman doesn't even check the system notes to see if I sent it, she just immediately puts the person on hold, walks over to my desk and asks me to check the system (Which is something that would only take her 5 seconds to do) I check the system, I hadn't sent it out yet, but it was in my rotation to be done today. So I pull everything up and tell her "It's all right here on the invoice, just give her the total and tell her the bill is going out today". She says "ok" and walks away.
5 minutes later, she comes back. The customer is on hold again. She asks me for the total. Again, she's been here a year, she knows to just add everything together and that's the total. There's no "trick math". So I kind of told her just that and pointed out that it's no different than any other time she asks me this question every other day (Only nicer). She then asks me to do the math for her.
Seriously? You're a grown woman, you have an actual calculator at your desk (As well as the function on your computer), and your job is to answer questions like this all day long, and you're going put somebody on hold to have me do basic addition for you?!?!?!?! Yargh!!!!
Sorry. I've been seething about that pretty much all day.

Or how about, "What is the address of X company you order from every day." Answer: "I can't find my phonebook right now." Really a phone book? You should jsut know this info and if not, google the effing thing. Come on people, smarten up. People really are dumb.

I finally told her the other day, you mean like I always do?
Or when she comes out of her office talking loudly to tell me something, and I'm obviously on the phone.
Oh, theres also a woman who wears flipflops to work and not only do they flip flop, but she scuffs her feet. She comes to me atleast 30 times a day with non issues and things she could solve herself if she read the paperwork. Every time I hear the scuff/flop, my patience wears away a little bit.
Meg, I have a printer in my office for regular stuff. The copy machine can print the legal size pieces of paper (usually financially related) so I hate when people grab those.

Ugh so annoying!! I hate when some one leaves colored paper in there too like they own the machine.

I work on the 6th floor (also the top) so it annoys me when I have to stop on every single floor each morning.
I might hate the, "It's not my fault" person more than the dumb people. The dumb people you can jsut do their job for them real quick.<strong> The, "It's not my fault" people love to spend tons of time telling you why whatever screw up you are trying to fix is not their fault because they are SO busy or didn't get a chance to check their email/mailbox with the correct info.</strong> Jesum crow.Sometimes I spend more time a day listening to why some one didn't do something than seeing them actually correct their own mistakes.
Posted by MeaghanandMichael
Oh holy crap, this is the totally the "guy" I briefly mentioned. He spends more time during the day discussing in great detail how "it's not his fault" than he does doing actual work. I'm still not sure how he has time to screw up so much in the first place for all the time he spends talking about how he didn't.
Since the lay-offs, it's been getting increasingly harder not to just say to him "If your Daddy wasn't who he is, you would have been sh!tcanned with everybody else". It's the truth, everybody in our department (Including my superiors) wants the guy gone so badly.

Also, our main office is in IN, but we have a company in TX as well. Why is it that the people in the TX office can't seem to understand what communication means? If you go changing dates, titles, editors, etc., without telling anyone else, how are we supposed to know?! Fuuckers.
Is it obvious I hate it when people waste my time? I really hate that. Im cool with wasting my own time, I just dont like it when others do it.
Along those lines, the constant bickering between 2 departments. Yes, we get it, our department is the dumping grounds for the company while the other department is constantly hiring new people because they can't handle a workload that's half our own. But that doesn't mean you should yell for them to shut up when they're talking and laughing amongst themselves.
Bitching about our sales department. You've been here over 6 months, you should know by now that the sales people can't spell, verify addresses, or do their job right in general. Slamming your mouse and saying "fuuck" over and over again isn't going to change that.
Also, people who cuss non stop. That's fine if you get really mad at something and you let one word slip, but when you're sitting in a conference room spewing every cuss word, it gets really old. Especially since I work for a really well known, respected company and I'd like to think the people that work here are better than that.
Mine's the same as usual. Cubicle sharer who talks loud enough for me to hear ALL her family drama. And today was a doozy. I almost felt sorry for her (and I did), if it didn't make me feel so uncomfortable.

At my part-time job-rude customers! First of all when someone is standing at a register checking out or doing anything else don't walk up next to them and throw your stuff on the counter and then huff and puff until they are finish. Or stand over their shoulder where they have to put in their pin number! I love the one's who get an attitude with you because they want you to acknowledge them now, NO I have a customer in front of me, when I finish with them I will pay attention to you until then wait your turn. Those who ask you to hold items they know darn well they will not be back to get and who has to put it up me! Those who come in at 8:55 and want to purchase, return, and speak to a manager and they know we close at 9:00pm. Just like you want to go home when it's time for you to go so do I even more so because 9 times out of 10 I have worked 8 hours before I got here and am working another 4.
