DId You Hear That??? That Wasn't a Sigh of Relief but a Scream

I'm livid....

My gown was dropped at my front door while we were out of town... On Christmas Eve....  But wait...wait it gets better!  I wasn't notified that it had be shipped and told the "vendor" that I wasn't going to be in town until tomorrow.

Next the streamers for the bow are still integrated into the dress... and now I have to pay a seamstress to remove them when I had specifically ordered the gown without the bow and streamers.

Tomorrow is going to be a rough day for my contact...

Ugh!  Oh, Angie, I am so sorry this has happened.  I hesitate to ask if there is any recourse (to get the dress as ordered) b/c I know this has been a nightmare from the very beginning.  *sigh*

I am sending good vibes your way, as always.  Breathe and relax.  Breathe and relax.  In with the good.  Out with the bad.  Hang in there!

LOL..........Jeez Louise! Well, at least it was still on the porch when you got home! Some neighborhoods that would not be the case.

Waiting for pics, and yes, we'll ignore the bow & streamers!

*sigh* So I took another look...it's not satin ribbon streamers that are attached to the dress... it's two thick polyester ties that are sewn at reverse angles so that you would have to wrap the ties to the front and then to the back to tie it  - which WAS not and is not part of the dress design at all!!!! The bow and satin streamers are not attached as ordered there is just this messed up tie and they changed the back of the gown almost completely.

I'm attempting to reach a supervisor at this point because the dress is completely wrong....

I should have quit when I had the chance...

See Alpha it's not just some inexpensive no name internet store that will screw up your gown - the reputable ones do it too!

Edited to add: The vendor is closed today due to inclimate weather!!!! Arrrgh!!!

I'm so sorry!  There is nothing worse than waiting on your dream dress to arrive and then discovering that it isn't your dream dress.  Sending you good vibes and praying that they make it right.

Did not have time to reach the vendor today, but ...( *sigh* of relief) I do have a wonderful boutique owner/seamstress that I hired today.  She does carry some of the vendor's higher end stuff and was willing to do what it took to make me less stressed over the situation.  She said it would have been better for them to have shipped her the gown - she would have contacted them about the streamers that were added and not part of the gown.  She will have to take a seam apart to get them off...which will be $100.00 more than if she just had to hem the gown, take it in a little and do a French bustle.

Sorry ladies no pictures until the hem is on, and the dress is now with the seamstress.  It's a gorgeous gown, and it will be once Christine has done her magic to it.

At the very least, the vendor needs to refund the money it's taking you to fix what they messed up.  Keep us posted.
