Not sure if this is acceptable or not. It's kinda been done alot. Personally, I wouldn't do this.

  • Thats obnoxious.

I would never whip out my phone during our wedding ceremony or even at the reception to answer a text or update my FB status.

I'm going to be leaving my cell phone in our hotel room for the entire day. The only people who would call/text me are already going to be at the wedding, so I really see no need it bringing it along with me at all. Plus, I don't see myself having any time to update my FB status, it can easily be done the next morning.

What?!!! That's crazy. The first video, the girl texting.. Really, who is not at your wedding that is that important you have to text mid ceremony?! And the 2nd, not sure of they were trying to be funny or not, but it's definitely something I wouldn't even think of doing. I doubt I'll even look at my phone the day of!
  • My favorite part is the cell phone tucked into her boobies. I mean, come on- At least wait until you're in your 60's before you start storing stuff in there.

  • I think the only reason I would have my phone near me at the reception is so I can hear my birth control alarm. Other than that I will not be updating my status or tweeting until later.

  • I would NEVER. ... and I would kill my FI if he did this while becoming my H.

we're planning on having our phones on us most of the day but on silent. We're planning to audio record everything from the day. Both of us have iPhones with upgraded memory space, and we think it'd be neat to have audio of everything we do that day/everyone we talk to. We may never do anything with it, but it'd be cool to have in addition to our video :)

  • FI isn't on any social media  (though I did just get him an iphone) and I plan on changing my status at some point that week.

I'll have my phone that day just to coordinate the two separate sites (I don't have a coordinator) but I'm planning on having the phones turned off and then not turned on till later).

While it might be "cute" it's just not anything I'd ever do.
  • This is so crazy!! I had the same thought as everyone else about her grabbing the phone from her chest. I'm sorry but her groom should've been pissed off. Come on its your wedding ceremony get off your phone idiot. Lol

  • The first video is redonculous!

T is always on his I phone but If I even see it the day of the  wedding I'm throwing it into the lake. lol
  • As much as I love my phone, PP said it best, anyone who I'd be texting or talking to will be at the wedding so there's no need to have it. I've actually seen a couple videos on vimeo where couples read their vows from their phones

The first video... um, what? No, stop. That's awful.

I think they were trying to be cute in the 2nd video, though I don't know if I could choose that particular moment in the ceremony. FI and I are having an unplugged ceremony, and we've talked about while he's standing at the altar waiting for me, I call him so his phone will ring. He'll answer, we'll chat for a sec, and then he'll remind people to turn off their devices. Not sure yet, and of course we want our pastor's opinion. Their officiant in the 2nd video seem caught off guard, which I think made it more awkward. And right before the declaration and kiss is a little disrespectful IMO.

Our phones will be on us the whole day, but only in case of an emergency. Someone will be following me all day so that my phone can stay with them in my bag and NOT in my boobs lol.

@ firemedicrr: That's such a cool idea with the audio from the day! Let us know how it turns out.

  • OMG

WHO DOES THAT?! Wow. If she can't even respect the ceremony on the most important day of their lives, I don't think he should marry her!

    Unbelievable.
