Turbo Tax Free online?

Anyone do this?  I slack and did not file yet, and rather just do it myself so I don't have to pay H&R block a lot of money. I don't know how easy it is though.

Super super easy. You may have to pay for State though.

I use tax slayer.com for easy returns, and it walks you through step by step as well, they charge you 9.95 for your state return.

If you have any questions along the way just ask me, don't pay H&R block.

Super easy. And, if you do it this year, it stores your info so that it's even easier next year.

Ok so I am ok to do it myself.... I think I will do the basic edition since its 35 bucks, since I dont have a house or anything to claim...  so I should be ok?!   I am just afraid I will do something wrong...

and thanks! I love it too!  I think the rest of the pics will be done today or some time soon. So excited!

I've never used turbo tax. When I did taxes for a living (worst 4 years ever haha) we used a system called prosystems, which was AWESOME. They walked you through nothing, but you could access any form so easily if you knew what you were doing. I <3'd prosystems, and I miss it.

I always filed my personal returns tax slayer though, because they always had the cheapest filing (9.95 to file both PA and Fed. because Fed. was free) then I'd just fill out my local (berkheimer) with the paper they mail to you by hand. Tax Slayer has options to walk you through EVERYTHING. Then it asks you do you have x y z for extra write off's etc. I like it a lot.

This year we used my aunts turbo tax program from her work (the expensive one you purchase) because we had so much going on with his work/business use of home etc. but that won't help you with the online program because I've never used that.

Like I said, if you get hung up, just give me a call or shoot me an e mail. I'd imagine your forms are really strait forward, so it really should be VERY easy.

I think the $35 is for the basic, it gives you a bit more guidance than the free version.

Yea BP, this one seems to run like a  GPS it says, so it should be simple. If I can't figure it out then I should be tested ;)  If I need help I will def come to you :)  thanks!  And I went with the basic edition.

Did you already "order" it?  There are so many coupon codes online through banks and other financial institutions along with AAA.  Some of which you don't even need to be a member of.

If you are just filing, you can do state taxes for free on PA's website. Just google PA state taxes and it should take you to the state's revenue service.

I did my federal first, and just filled my state taxes.
