Transportation - cash only???

The transportation company I'm supposed to be using for the wedding (Starlight) only accepts cash. I feel like they might have something shady going on. I haven't yet paid the deposit because I wanted to see what your experiences were with transportation, either with this company or another one.  Cash only? Is that typical???

    I remember my limo company saying if we paid in cash they wouldnt charge us tax so we made sure to pay in cash, but they def accepted credit cards.

    If you do decide to go with them, make sure that you get everything down in writing and get a receipt for every payment you make. You wouldn't want there to be any discrepancies when it comes to how much you actually paid.

    Well, first they said they only accept cash, and then when I said I'd prefer to pay by credit card, they said I can, but there's a 20% fee, which I think is ridiculous. I personally feel more comfortable paying by check or credit card, knowing that my money can be traced and there is proof of my purchase. You know?

      I personally wouldn't be comfortable paying cash to anyone unless it's the final payment AND you get a receipt .  I think all deposits should be in the form of a check or cc , but if you do decide to pay cash ,  Make sure you get a receipt EVERY TIME like pp say .
