Engagement Pics- Portsmouth vs. Newburyport MA?

My FI & I are having our engagement pics done Sunday August 29th.. only a couple weeks away! Going into Boston tomorrow to find something to wear. We dont really have a place that is significant to us, but wanted our pics to be in Portsmouth because it has the area down by the water & the cool downtown area... but so does Newburyport.. if any of you are familiar with the areas, do you have any recs of which spot to choose? Or any recs on specific spots or streets in either town to take pics?

    I say Newburyport.....also it is close enough if you wanted to go out to Plum Island and there is a nature preserve out there where you sometimes can see Bald eagles, otters, and deer.  Love it out there

    Prescott Park in Portsmouth is unreal. There's also Strawbery Banke. I say Portsmouth, but I'm a UNH grad, so I'm bias Wink

    Both are good, but I would say Plum Island is a great area near Newburyport also.  Have fun!

    We are doing ours in Newburyport in September. It depends on what you want but Newburyport has Plum Island if you want the beach and the downtown has a boardwalk area that is beautiful and Atkinson Common is up the road if you want more trees for a back drop. I grew up there so I'm bias but if there's something in particular you are looking for, I may be able to tell you where in Newbuyrport you could get the background you are looking for
