So my awesome FI helped me out a lot this weekend. He's a carpenter so there were some things that I wanted to make. We made a card box, which we're going to paint with chalk board paint and leave chalk for people to write on.
I'm having an outdoor wedding, and instead of spending money on programs, when we really dont have much of a program (civil ceremony, not religious, might have one reading), I found this idea on TK and it was use a chalk board instead. So FI made a chalk board for me, and an easle to put it on!
Also decided that becasue I wanted to have my dad with me all day, and I won't have a bouquet so I couldn't really do a bouquet charm (i'm doing pinwheels instead) I found this idea on pinterest of taking something that used to be his, cutting a heart out of it and sewing that heart onto my dress. There's a tie that I bought my dad for xmas when I was little and there's a back story to it, mom figures she remembers which tie it is, so i'm going to cut the heart out of that and see if the lady that is altering my dress will sew it on for me.
ALSO! got the call today that my first round of alterations is done so I have to go back for a second fitting! hooray! :)Great weekend!
