Ice Cream Bar HELP!

I really want to have an Ice Cream Sundae bar at my wedding reception. I have priced a couple places out and for an old fashioned ice cream cart, 10 ice cream flavors, 10 toppings, and a worker to scoop it out, they are charging me $8.00 per person! Unfortunately, I can not afford this but I am having a really hard time finding an alternative solution.

Does anyone have any ideas for me?
If you have done this before, do you recommend a different vendor that is not so expensive (I live in Southern California).

    i went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago that had a self-serve sundae station. not a cute cart or anything, but just set up on a table. there were 2 flavors, 3 toppings, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream. it seemed pretty simple and the wait staff just had to set up and take down. i think this was included with the venue, but it won't hurt to ask them if you can bring in all of the supplies yourself.

    See if you can get Lake Street Creamery to do it - they have a mobil van that is totally charming and the ice cream is to die for.
