Tipping Vendors

When it comes to tipping vendor for our upcoming wedding, we're totally clueless, and need your help! Do we tip the following: Wedding Officiant?- we're getting married at Trellis Gardens and one of the owners will be our Officiant. Day-Of Coordinator? Photographer(s)? Baker? Reception Hall Coordinator? There's a service charge built in to our food and bev package, I'm just not sure if the goes to her as well, or just the wait staff. Florist? Ceremony violinist? And how do you determine how much to tip these vendors?

Re: Tipping Vendors

  • We tipped anyone who didn't own their own company.

We didn't tip our officiant because we did an offsite wedding and paid extra for that priviledge.

Didn't tip the photog extra because she owns her own business

Baker came with the reception so no additional

Reception Hall coordinator was tipped out of the extra for servers and bartenders

    Florist owned their own shop

    Ceremony musicians got tipped

I tipped the hairstylist and makeup artists even though they're independents because I know them personally and they busted their buns for us.

We tipped the DJ and Limo Drivers as well

Our photo booth attendant did not get tipped because we asked what their policy was as a company and they said "no tips".

    We tipped 15-20%
  • We pretty much did the same as PP. 15-20% And only the vendors that were working for a company. Vendors who are independent, charge what they want for their services.
