Am I Bipolar?!

Or just moody lol.

I keep oscillating between loving this whole wedding planning thing, and hating it with all my heart.

I was low: wanting to change my colors and being pissed that I already ordered STDs, and being pissed that the dress i think i may be in love with is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND online or in anywhere but one store (with a heftier price tag than I'm willing to pay).

Then I was on a happy high.  I got an email from vistaprint with all these FREE offers (if u want it i can forward it to you) and I was able to order new STDs (for FREE) and photoshare cards (FOR FREE) and address labels FOR FREE...and i had to throw in some postcards for advertising my business around the neighborhood....not wedding related but still made me happy! FOR FREE!  Grand total $10 bucks for shipping!

But then I get an email from casablanca (who i emailed earlier about their phantom dress - style: A014 fyi) and they said it's part of their diamond collection so they dont put photos of it online at all.  WTF!?!?
Have you ever heard of such nonsense?!?

So i'm back on the low swoop. ::sigh::

    i'm having the exact same issue regarding the wedding dress.  my dress isn't online yet (its in the 2011 collection for San Patrick and they only have 30 dresses online so far).  super frustrating!

    i ended up buying the dress, so the bridal ssalon let me take a picture, since i technically own the dress now :)

    but i know how annoying it is to not be able to find your dress online anywhere.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    I just wanted a drama-filled title!! Sheesh.

    An extra eyeroll and a LMAO for aerin's siggie - Aerin, I don't think anyone is "belittling" an illness by using it incorrectly.  It's for dramas sake usually, and I'm sure people are aware they don't have an actual illness, it's become slang, whether you dig it or don't.

    Stink / Amanda - I 'm glad I'm not the only one, in my head I'm wondering if i'm a bridezilla already and don't even know it! (i mean, i've changed colors 4 thousand times and i've only been 'engaged' 2 weeks) lol!

    That's annoying about your dress, but YAY that you found the one!! :)

    I vote for just moody since it was one of the options. lol
    I think it's to be expected with wedding planning though ... you'll have bouts of happiness and frustration.  Just try to relax and not get too stressed out this early in the planning.

    I'm sure you're also fine with the word "retarded" as slang as well.  There's plenty of slang out there that's quite offensive.  Bipolar is a serious illness that can completely destroy your life, and I doubt anyone actually going through it would appreciate it being compared to the ups and downs of planning a party.

    Many dressmakers and stores are like this, I guess they don't want you taking their current design to your own dressmaker and having them copy it.  My FI had to get creative to get a picture of her dress before she had decided to buy it; she wanted a pic to show some people as she was deciding and the place was very strict about no photos of the dresses.

    Moody dear, just moody:)  Might I suggest a cocktail to keep you nice and mellow?  LOL

    There is a dress store around here that takes the tags out of dresses so you can't try to find them cheaper somewhere else and they won't let you take any pics or tell you who it's by unless you put a deposit down on it!  WTH?  I am learning that the wedding industry is completely freaking greedy and crazy!

    ebonyivory - perhaps i'll have to ask the doc for some xanax or something to keep me mellow lol  (sidebar: i watched some show about pageants and this one woman was poppin em like candy to deal with her nerves!! lol)

    ellenalabana - that store is sneaky!! but smart i guess.  Annoying for the bride, but good for business I'm sure.  I agree with you on the wedding industry.  PS did you get your dress from that particular store?  :: off to get a cocktail! it's happy hour somewhere!::

    vegasgroom     - what did she do? i wanna hear her creative story!  Did you create a diversion in the far end of the store so she could sneak some shots with her camera phone??
