Day of wedding planner

How many of you brides are having a day of wedding planner? I'm thinking about it. I'm just nervous that I'm not going to have anyone help me direct the wedding party on our wedding day and I sure as heck don't want to be doing it on my day. But, we are on a budget and can save the $200. What should I do?

I am using Jaclyn Fraser from At Last and she is beyond amazing. We are just using her for day of coordination too, but she has helped us so much throughout this planning process, I don't know what I would do without her. Planners are well worth the money! I thought I could do it on my own but I was definitely mistaken.

I am using a DOC as well. I started off just wanting a DOC, and they have helped me so much that now I am using them as my partial planners. I was just getting too stressed out. Now I am able to enjoy the DIY projects Im doing because I know if I dont do them the way I want, my planner is there to help me. I personally think it is well worth the money. If you need DOC contact, I have one and I believe they are still giving a reduced price for the month of June. Message me if you want more details on them.

I used Angela Collins (website and review in my signature), a good friend of mine, and I was SO GLAD I did.  In our pre-meeting, she pointed out things I didn't realize I needed to figure out, she set everything up beautifully, and I literally didn't worry about a thing on the wedding day.

I think if you're super-organized, if your wedding party is super-organized, you can get into your venue the day before or early morning and set it up yourself, and if you are POSITIVE you know what you're getting from your vendors and they understand what you'd like them to do (or if you have very few vendors), you can make it work without a DOC.  I've seen both with an without DOC go sucessfully, and both go not so well. I couldn't get into my venue to set up until 1:30, and with a 4:30 walk down the aisle I couldn't be setting things up, so Angie was a lifesaver for me. Worth. Every. Penny.  And then some.

I am also using Jaclyn Fraser and she has truly been amazing. I too just have her as a DOC but she is helping me with so much more. I can email her a quick question and get instant feedback or advice on whatever I need.
