Engagement Photos in the AM or PM?

My fiance and I are hoping to do engagement photos this weekend (provided the weather cooperates) and I don't know if it's better to do them in the morning or afternoon? Does anyone have thoughts on this?

My recommendation would be to take them 1.5 hours before the sunset so you can get best of both worlds :)

    Afternoon.

The best light for photographs is sunrise/twilight. To get "dusky" photos in the morning, you'd have to get up pretty early. Also, the light will be getting harsher through the shoot as the sun gets higher. If you schedule the shoot for the afternoon, the light will improve throughout the shoot.

But if you're a super-morning person who tends to zone out mid-afternoon, the morning would be better.

    Also, ask your photographer.

It depends on where you will be taking the photos. Your photographer should be able to recommend the best time of day based on the location.
