Did anyone use/planning to use M&M's for their favors? I'm trying to figure out how much I should order. Is 10lb enough for 125 people? We'd be putting them in favor boxes that are about 2 inches by 2 inches if that helps.
I checked those out as well, a bit pricey for me. I'd buy a large bag and divide them up in your favor boxes and figure out the weight, according to the M&M's bag that way.
I read about another bride who got personalized M&Ms as favors and also had 2x2 boxes. She had 100 guests and said that 15lbs barely covered that, and she recommends buying more than you think you'd need.
So for 125 people, going by this bride's advice, I'd recommend 20lbs, just to be on the safe side.
I used them for my candy bar. The personalized ones are expensive so I would suggest buying some of the personalized ones and then going to a local candy story and buying some in the same color but with out the personalization. It will save you lots of money and nobody will really know! Good luck.
I agree. The personalized ones off of the website are very expensive. We did M&M's as favors as well inside little plastic goblets wrapped in tulle & tied with string. I bought most of ours at Party City. We ended up needing some more once we actually sat down to do the favors, and we just ran to the local mall which had a Fuzzywigs Candy store in it. They had most of the colors for like $6.99/lb. It didn't cost that much bc I only underestimated by about a half a pound for each color. I would look into something like this if I were you unless you are willing to spend a lot of money.
I got them for my twins 1st b-day. They came quick but were all broken and the writing was smeared. They sent another bag that was better, but still not great, the writing wasn't center etc. Not a great pic, but this is the 2nd batch.
