Oooh, love your colors!!  I've been looking into inexpensive favors and here's what I've found:
*bubbles with personalized ribbon...very common.  can be found on theknot.com wedding store
*buy caramels and wrap them up in ribbon...I'm thinking of doing this

I'm not sure about the pencil idea.  I'm a teacher, too. :)  I do like the idea of little potted flowers but you'll have to find some way to do that cheap.  Good luck!

cut out cookies, or the M&M idea is cute.
love the idea of the plants -- maybe one per couple?

is there a theme to your wedding at all?  i'm doing a sort of italian/food and wine theme so i'm making wine charms for the guests.  Since we'll have italian cookies and cake and cannoli's, part of the favor is "dessert take home boxes" for the guests to fill =)

I don't know if this just came to mind because they sound good to me right now or not but the first thing that I thought of was the yellow marshmellow peeps. You could probably buy them in bulk for pretty cheap.  Another idea that most people don't think of as an inexpensive favor is donating to a charity. You could donate whatever you have room in your budget for and then print off cute little cards in your colors off your home computer. You don't have to mention the amount that was donated on the cards, just that a donation was made in honor of your guest. So even if you just donate 100 dollars it's still a really nice favor because your guest will feel good about you making a donation instead of getting them something that'll just be thrown away or shoved in a drawer somewhere until they have their first garage sale..lol.

Hi!  These are my colors as well!  I'm thinking about doing lemon heads in cute little jars.

These are my colors as well!  I am also getting married in July @ a small intimate ceremony in the park in the morning!   With a breakfast reception!  our favors are jars of orange marmalade for the dollar store.  all we did was soak the glass jars in waer to peel off the store label and we ad creating our own yellow and grey (or silver)  labels and adding a yellow ribbon around the top. Simple!   Good luck with your search
  • Our wedding is in June and we are doing the same color scheme. We decided on small flower grow kit.

We bought ours at Target for a dollar a piece and giving one per couple.  This saved us alot.

We are also giving eveyone lemonade prior to the ceremony as refreshments with grey stripped straws

    Hope this helps!
