A differant kind of candy buffet

I really want to do a candy buffet for our vow renewal. I've looked into doing candy in our colors (fushia and orange), or our theme (beach) but none of it feels original to me. I think I'd like to do handmade treats and things from local bakeries, etc.

Whoopie pies
Carmels
Carmel corn
Lollipops
Chocolate covered pretzles
Handmade flavored marshmellows
Meringue cookies
French macaroons

Good idea? Bad idea? Will our guests think this is a strange candy buffet?

At my boss' wedding this last weekend, they did something similar.  They had regular candy, pretzels, caramel popcorn, etc., but they also had things like fried pies, mini-key lime pies, and cheesecake lollipops.  So it was sort of a combination candy/dessert bar.  Everyone loved it.  Here's a pic:

How will you make these portable?  Will guests be able to take some home?

I like the idea, I'm just wondering if I would have to eat it there.  I'm all for deserts and candy buffets.

We provided take home boxes for our candy buffet.  At my boss' wedding, they also had take home bags and also alot of people ate it there (but not me because I was too full).  Plus, I like to eat wedding cake when I go to weddings--that's just something I look forward to.
