Our wedding was June 25, 2010. It was an interesting evening with the torrential rain shower. But we had a wonderful day. Overall we were very happy with most of our vendors. I was surprised at how many of them went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Please let me know if you have any questions about any of the vendors. Ceremony- Cathedral of Saint Paul: A. All the wedding requirements, planning and communication was very well laid out. The Cathedral is absolutely stunning. Staff was very helpful and attentive to questions.
Reception- Royal Cliff: A+. We keep hearing how great the food tasted and how wonderful the staff was. Communication with both Brian and Dianne was wonderful and they worked very hard to make sure that everything was perfect for our reception.
Photographer- Greg Thorne, GT Creative Photography: A+. From our first meeting to engagement pictures to the wedding day Greg went above and beyond. Greg arrived before my stylist and began shooting right away. He stayed all day and made sure to catch all the important shots. I can’t believe how much he went above and beyond to make sure I got all the pictures I could possibly want. I’m still waiting on the final product but I’m sure that they are wonderful.
Cake- Key’s Café Roseville: A+. The cake was amazing. After DH and I took our first bite we did not want to put it down. We ordered a marble cake with chocolate mousse filling. It truly was amazing and tasted even better than it looked. We are also getting many questions about where did we get the cake from because it was THE BEST cake our guests had ever tasted. Communication was great with Key’s and Shaun (the baker) even made the chocolate mousse filling upon our request. It is a new flavor that he needs to continue to make.
DJ- Midwest Sound and Lights- Nate: A. I could not have asked for a better DJ. Nate insured that people of all ages were on the dance floor. He respected our play and do not play song list. He was great with our crowd and would recommend booking with Midwest Sound.
Flowers- Flowerama, Roseville- A+. I LOVED my flowers. From my first consultation I knew that Denee (the owner) understood my vision and would make it a reality. We used them for corsages, boutonnieres, bouquets and church flowers.
Sam’s Club, Online- A+. If you are considering ordering mixed bouquets from here I would highly recommend it. I simply wanted mixed bouquets for my table centerpieces and wanted lots of flowers. We ordered roses, gerbera daisy’s, astroelia and white daisy’s. They came in 4 (smaller) boxes. When I started taking them out it filled 8- 5 gallon buckets. Only 5 heads were broken in all of the flowers. It took 3 of us about 3 hours to assemble the centerpieces. Great value and absolutely stunning. We had soooo many flowers and they lasted for over a week.
Linens- Grand Designs: A- Michele saved me. After having my other linen company cancel on me the week of the wedding, Michele came through with beautiful linen. She helped calm all my nerves and even ordered custom table runners in my color blue. I don’t know what I would have done the week of the wedding without her. I would definitely recommend other brides to check her out. Plus the ceiling draping was stunning. I’ve seen other ones at Royal Cliff that I was not a fan of but she was able to highlight the chandeliers and make the room even more amazing.

Rehearsal Dinner- Axel’s in Mendota: A. Mother in Law took care of most of the planning but the food was great and the room was very private.
Accommodations- Hilton Garden Inn Eagan: A. Cara was wonderful to work with. She sent me e-mail updates and arranged for me to drop-off our guest bags. The shuttle service was also wonderful.
