Christ Episcopal Church Poughkeepsie in Summer

Hello! This is a very specific question that not very many brides may be able to answer. I am getting married at this church in August and I am wondering if anyone has experience with the temperature in the church. I am pretty sure they do not have central air, so I am looking for experiences with how this worked out. Do I just need to make the ceremony really short so no one melts? :)

Our wedding was on July 2, 2009. It wasn't a super hot summer, and it rained a lot. It rained the morning of our wedding, but by the time the ceremony started the sun had come out. I'd estimate it was about 80 degrees that day. For my guests and bridesmaids, because they were able to wear short dresses with little to no sleeves, and take jackets off (for the men) I don't think it was that bad inside the church. For the groomsmen, I know it was HOT because they were wearing tuxes, and were hungover from the night before. I remember sweating a little under all the layers of my dress, but it wasn't insufferable. I guess this doesn't really answer your question completely, but it's all that I can remember!

Thanks! One more question- were there rooms to get ready in there?

There are tons of rooms in the church. There's a whole area in the basement that is/was used for summer camp. Plus there are a bunch of offices and stuff. We didn't get ready at the church. Our reception was at the Grandview (I think yours is too, right?). The girls and I checked in early to our honeymoon suite, and got ready there. The boys got ready at our house before getting picked up for the ceremony. I know Blake let them hang out in his office before it started. I would be surprised if they didn't have an area where you could get ready.
